I bought two of these for my kids and they have been fine except for the charge port that keeps getting messed up.

I've purchased 4 tablets and had to return all of them because the charging ports are defective. After 2 the system will stop charging and they send a refurbished tablet and I've the same problem

This tablet is very kid-friendly. The only gripe I have is that the charging port becomes damaged over a period of time.

The chargers that came with the items can't charge the charger. After a week the charging port sunk into the tablet

Works great for grandkids, they love it. Only thing is the charging ports keep not working. Thank goodness for the extended warranty!

The charging port has fallen into the tablet and requires repair. It's mine and I took good care of it. I'd you want to keep customers create meaningful products

I got this for my son, as he loves the color red and needed a tablet. This one allowed him to do some lessons, play games, and watch videos. The only downside is the charging port can go if not gentle with plugging in and unplugging.

What a piece of junk. I bought this to use in my truck (software that monitors truck PIDs via Bluetooth OBDII dongle). Worked great for a few months. Just over three to be exact. And now it won't charge anymore because the flimsy charge port is disconnected from the main board (read about this KNOWN design issue online). Poor solder joints. What a scam.

I bought this during the Black Friday sale for $30. It works fine for such an inexpensive tablet. If you have Amazon Prime, this might be the tablet for you. If not, you may want to look elsewhere. For this price, you should already know you're not getting the equivalent of an iPad or Samsung tablet. It seems to be better built and slightly faster than other Android tablets in this price range. You're stuck with the Amazon ecosystem, Including the Amazon app store, which is why I think if you're a Prime member, this might be great for you, but if not, you might not like it as much. There are ways to get the Google Play Store on it (search online), but these methods may void the warranty. Since it comes with only 8 GB of storage and only around 3 GB actually available, I added a 64 GB micro SD card. In the settings, make sure everything that can be stored to external storage is selected. Mine defaulted this way, but it doesn't hurt to check. Most apps from the Amazon store will only store on the device storage or at least partially there, so it's still fairly easy to fill up the onboard storage if you download lots of apps, even with an external micro SD card. Some other things I'll mention include the "special offers," which are Amazon ads on the lock screen. You can pay $15 to have Amazon turn them off, but I don't find them particularly bothersome. How often do you sit and stare at the lock screen? It goes dark after a minute or two anyway or you can manually make the screen go dark. It comes with Alexa, which you may or may not like. If not, you can turn it off during set up or in settings afterward. Alexa requires a button push on the Fire 7. It's not always on for voice activation. The cameras are pretty bad compared to most higher end tablets or cell phones. Don't expect to take great shots. Also, the speaker is pretty bad. I recommend headphones or ear buds. The battery life is OK. It seems to get around 7 or 8 hours during mixed use. I don't like that if you leave it on, but don't use it, it still drains the battery more than my other devices or phones. The warranty is only 90 days and there are some reports of charging port problems. Overall, it's a good tablet for the money. If it cost more, I would only give it 3 stars. I bought it primarily for downloading movies from Prime for traveling. You can download movies directly to the micro SD card, then watch them while traveling without a WiFi connection. It works for me.
