Easy to set up and use great tablet for on the go and light weight

Excellent for the price. Although little slow kids will enjoy it.

This new Kindle Fire 7” screen is the same size as the old one but the frame is slightly thinner so the overall dimensions are a smidgeon smaller. This new one comes with lots of pre-loaded apps (which were not on the old one) and it makes the home screen look very busy. You have to search through all the icons for the Kindle icon in order to read a book. I wonder if there is a way to move some of those icons off the home page and I will ask tech support about that. Regarding Alexa, I would like to reassure any readers who, like me, would prefer not to have it, that it is very easy to disable the Alexa function. During the set-up process, the program offers "enable" or "disable" Alexa, so it is simple to just tap on "disable" and shut down Alexa. I do like that this version offers several background lighting options – and I enjoy using that feature. I tried the paperwhite and didn't like it, so I am back to the Kindle Fire 7" even though I prefer the older versions.

I love my product I purchased. The twin girls definitely enjoyed it but the customer service was terrible. I was charged twice for this product when I only should've been charged once & they gave me such a hassle about getting my money back. From now on, in store purchases only. I would recommend the product but I wouldn't recommend buying it online.

Saw this one on sale and bought this to replace my mother-in-law's old Kindle Fire. She uses it to play games and read books. We were able to get everything transferred from the old one to the new one. It takes a while, so be patient. It does not come with a case. It would be nice if one was included.

Very nice and light weight very good screen and easy to use

The graphics seem fine to me although reviews indicate the HD tablet graphics are a step above those on this tablet. Response time of apps is quick, and the battery lasts several hours. I usually use this for browsing via browsers other than Silk as I've personally taken the risk and chose to install Google Play on this tablet.

I love these Amazon Fires. They are good quality and so affordable. I got them for my kids to take when we travel, because I wont be upset if they get lost. But they work so well, and you can save videos directly to them, that I use them to watch tv. They are awesome!

This tablet is very economical, user friendly and compact.

I bought this to take with me while I travel to read my books as well as doing my school work. It is perfect for all of my needs. It is a lot easier to carry around than a laptop and can be stored in a small carry on bag. I have absolutely no issues and holds a long charge.

Not a great tablet. I used it for my kiddo and man is it slow and laggy. Honestly, fire 8 and 10 are a much better option

The tablet is too slow and does not have enough memory, so it lags a lot. Amazon running ads on it does not help. I returned it.

Has a lot of kid options a little slow to be expected kids don’t care.. however a pain to set up if your gifting to a family members child. Amazon wants a account created , a verified card in file to identify as adult also wants address before even giving child access. I see how they want to give parental control but needing a card even if purchases are turned off, I don’t get it. Imagine gifting to someone’s 3 kids trying to set up for them on Christmas Day then telling their parents they have to put payment info on file and billing address bc you don’t want to put your own on file..real scamy situation HOWEVER I BOUGHT THREE TOTAL UNDER $106. So I guess it’s worth the setup headache..
