tablet works well. Biggest downside for me was not being able to use Google. I returned it for that reason. I used my tablet for reading my kindle unlimited books daily but I need my use of Google daily as well and don't like having to use two different devices.

This device has great screen resolution but is slow to load and play video. It streams Amazon music well until the music is interrupted for ads and then you have to press the power button to get the music to restart. Loaded video can become jittery to the point that it is not worth watching and has to be reloaded. I realize this is an inexpensive alternative to an equally sized IPad, but this Fire HD was not worth the cost. I turn it on while working from home only to stream music and even that is frustrating with the constant interruptions with ads.

It keeps shutting down and I can't turn it back on without plugging it in to electric. It is charged when it shuts down. Once I plug it in, it automatically starts up.

I bought this device to read free library books through Overdrive/Libby. If you pause reading an add pops up. There are icons for books and movies for sale all over the place and I don't wish to purchase any since I have a library card and can read free online books. Previously I had a tablet that worked great but as it aged 10 years it became slow and the screen started to have issues. I could read my library books, check email, or use the web without a pre-populated screen of books for sale taking up space.

Screen seems smaller than it should. Build is flimsy and fragile. Display is ok. Unfair to compare to an iPad due to the price point. Definitely only getting what you pay for.

Amazon just doesn't seem to make a fast tablet. It's good. Probably faster than other tablets but what can you expect for the price. It's a great reader and not much else.

I got this to allow my children the ability to log into their virtual therapy appointments and come to find out that is NOT supported on this device. It is slow and frustrating that it doesn't have all the options we were hoping for.

Unfortunately, the Amazon Tablet does not allow you to download apps that aren't in their app store - like Babbel or Pimmsleur - two very common language apps.

It was not my favorite purchase. Was not very kid friendly my daughter age 3 had trouble with it. She’s used other devices and has never had trouble. Might be a better often for older kiddos didn’t work for me.

I'm regretfully returning this item today, after trying to set up for the last day. I thought it would be far less expensive version than an iPad mini. All I really want to do is run Spotify and YouTube on it. I spent FOREVER trying to simply download these two free apps on it. I keep getting an error message that my payment info on file with Amazon is not correct (it is an active credit card I used this morning). IF I was able to make this work, it seems like a nice alternative. It feels light and cheap, but that's the point and I wouldn't mind knocking it around at the beach or care if it broke.

After 4 tries to get the correct screen protecor we gave up and used her one that came. The spot for the camera is in the wrong spot. It was the new model product, so I can nt understand no screen protector.

It's fast but Not easy to add other apps like chrome, Meet , , play store google service. and then if you get them on they don't work.

Disappointed the charging cord is unique and not universal with earlier models of Fire tablets. Charging cord is also very short. Need to buy a longer charging cord. Tablet itself seems fine.

it is ok for the money but it still does not have the features that I need Like back grounds for zoon and to be able to use my samsung bluetooth earbuds so overall it's just ok

i bought 3 of these tablets for my grand children and they were supposed to come with 3 months of you tube premeium and no one knows how to get this activated

Really slow sometime. Don't expect it to be super fast. Paying full price not worth the price . So bettrr to buy on discount .

Underpowered I thought it was going to be using it like a regular tablet but it seems that Amazon has locked it with a lot of bloatware and settings
