I have always loved the Amazon kindle fire . You get a lot for the price. Competes well with the Ipad and the Samsung tablets. Bought this for my son who gets a lot of apps for free. It's easy to get a lot of reading material from the amazon store. Love it.

Bought the Amazon fire HD8 10th Generation 8 inch tablet for my daughter. She loves it!!! Apps are Pretty easy to use like Kids Netflix and Disney+ . You can customize parent controls to keep your kiddos safe. Plus the price is not bad at all!!! Saved a couple hundred dollars!

Great device for the price, easy to navigate and set up. I'm using it to read e-books and shop online mostly, but would be a great tablet for kids for the price point.

Got this for half price on Black Friday! I can’t wait to give it to my friend who is constantly listening to books on her tiny iPhone. She will greatly enjoy the apps where she’ll get to see things much bigger.

I have been buying fire HD tablets for years. Most of them are very disappointing because they are very slow. Maybe it is because of the low RAM or slow processor. I can't say which. And I have not traded in on those because Amazon would only give me $10 or $15 trade in value. I would rather keep the old tablet for music or youtube if it is only worth $10. However, I saw a sale on Fire HD 8 2020 generation and I was curious. I took a chance to order it from Best Buy because I have gift card balance. When I received it, I side loaded google play and tested it. Wow! It is not slow. It is working. I am using it right now for reading, browsing and email. Finally, this is a working Fire HD tablet for me. This is the first Fire HD tablet that I don't hate!

I’ve always wanted to have a Kindle Fire & I finally got one for Christmas this year & I absolutely love it! It’s perfect for reading books & using it as a tablet! The battery also last several days between charges so it’s always ready to use!

I purchased this tablet when it was half off just to try it. I purchased a 8in Samsung tablet previously for roughly 3 times as much and the Fire Tab is very comparable. Now of course the Samsung has a few more bells and whistles but for the price difference the Fire Tab wins. Both are equally laggy but not bad at all. I use it for streaming music and watching football games at work. Much better than older Fire tabs. Those are so laggy that they’re not even worth getting for half off. It definitely has Amazon written all over it but you can Google how to make it more Android friendly.

I bought this as an ultra portable way to interface with my online classes and load my textbooks onto for easy reading. It performs well. The Amazon interface is a little bit overbearing but it's to be expected.

The old Android 4.0 operating system needed to be updated. My device use is mainly E-mail, Fakebook and YouTube. The choices were compared, and I went with the FIRE HD8 product. The battery lasts several days and all my needs are met.

Its a real nice tablet. It was a bit difficult to set up the Google and email, etc.. Now, that is done, and it's really nice to work with. I would recommend this, perfect size and I ordered the tablet cover to make sure we don't drop it.

Love my new Kindle Fire HD 8 10th Gen. Having lots of fun playing new games and borrowing books from the library! I purchased this to replace my original Kindle which is over 7 years old. It's faster and the colors are amazing.

This tablet sits by my bed and I use it to read or play a netflix video almost every night. I've put the google playstore on it (google it since it's pretty easy to do) and watch YouTube videos as well. It handles all of this really well. I have the new Plus version as well and don't really see a lot of difference. The Plus version has 1gig more ram and has wireless charging which also lets you turn it into show mode more easily. The extra gig is nice but not a big deal. I really like the white color too.

My son loves this tablet! It’s the perfect size for him to have it portable and big enough to see items effectively. I also got it for a deal during a sale so that makes it even better!

The 8" tablet provides a better viewing area than the 7" screen I've had for years. Because it's thinner, it's not much heavier than the 7". Sound quality is very good for listening to audio books.

I absolutely love it! I have the 10 and love it too but was looking for something smaller. I use the larger one mostly at home like an Echo and this one travels with me.

Upgraded from older versions of Fire tablets. Were gifts to the kids. The work great and allow them to read, watch movies, connect with socially distant friends. Great experience all around with these. Never had any problems.

Got it for my child and it has been more than a month he has had it and was not been able to break it or damage it. HAHA He had broken 2 of them before this one, his uncles saw it and went to purchase one for their child.

I guess okay for the price? Got it for an 8 year old. Parental controls and settings are pretty good but I personally don't like the lag. The kids don't seem to mind though. Get a screen protector and a poofy case.

This thing is great. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and she has not been able to put it down. The battery life so far is great and if you have Amazon Prime there are lots of things to do. Would definitely purchase again.

Got this for my grandma who needed something a little bigger than her phone. She loves it and I have had previous versions of the kindle as well and loved it.
