My son loves it and is just the sorta starter tablet for a 5 yr old

I have a long history with Kindles and rely on them for my e-books mostly. I don't like shopping on Amazon, so I was thrilled I could purchase this through Best Buy, as all my shopping experiences on this site have been great

Due to the scarcity of Chromebooks we bought this for our son who started the school year virtually. We were able to get this and a couple accessories to allow him to use Zoom as well as some other apps needed for virtual learning. Would definitely recommend it for those without a Chromebook

Good device for mid-range users. The Amazon Fire 8 HD runs slow out of the box. This tablet is powered by a MediaTek MT8168 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of storage. it's the best tablet value out there today, with a faster processor and more RAM than the 2018 model.

I bought this for my kids and it's great! I removed all the extra stuff from amazon and now it's running good. The speakers are great and the display are good. Make sure you buy a case too! Because kids will throw it around. I love it overall and it's a great price too WHEN it's on sale!

Good size for kids to use, I like the quality and size

I had the Amazon Fire 7 16 GB since 2015 and was running out space due to system updates. I bought the Amazon Fire 8 with 32 GB to have more space. It starts up quicker than the previous one. The only issue with it the power button and volume buttons are in a different place.

My old reader was no longer supported. This tablet popped up as on sale. I am very happy with this seller. The tablet was in the store as advertised. It works as stated and was exactly as described.

I was greeted at the door with a smile. The associate really helped me understand the difference between tablets available. This purchase was really fast and the facility very clean. I will keep shopping Best Buy for all my electronic needs.

So far it is Good. But it won't let me read the samples when I am away from WIFI. Also when I Bought the Kindle from the Best Buy Store in Lakeland, Fl. I Had trouble connecting to my Amazon account even though I PAID Bust Buy for a Set UP!!!!!!!

Fast shipping on this product. Easy to set up, and nice display. Have only had a couple weeks so can't comment on the longevity of this product. It was recommended by another person who has used same make/ model for sixth months without incident.

I love using this thing for books and watching videos. I initially bought it thinking I would like watching just videos but I noticed that comics look amazing on here. Bought it on sale and it is well worth the price.

I love my tablet, it is fun and easy to use... good product.

I bought this tablet primarily for streaming, and it is painfully slow. Just running an app (HBO Max, Netflix, etc) seems to overwhelm its puny processor. Tapping on an icon to start an app takes several seconds to respond. Tons of connectivity problems. You can run apps in the background, but it is pointless, as most of the times that you switch back to them, they throw an error. Even closing the app and re-opening it does not help, you have to restart the device. I was not expecting this device to perform like an iPad, but it is so slow and unresponsive that it is almost useless.

This is my second Fire tablet and I see the quality has gone down but so has the price by far! I'm sure it is to keep a low price point which is fine as long as that is all you need for internet browsing and playing a few games or shopping. The back plastic cover is slippery so be advised. All in all I like this item and would rate it 3 1/2 stars.

Nice size can take with you. Does pretty much everything.

Kids are having fun no issues all in all a good tablet

The main purpose of buying this was reading. However, I wanted to keep the options open for more than reading, if I have to so I bought the fire version than the traditional kindle. Love this one. I added the external memory, however, haven't used that one yet.
