My kid loves it. Great picture. Easy to set up. I suggest buying the protective case just a few dollars extra.

Amazon Fire HD 8 is a very good budget tablet. The bull quality and functionality are good for basic browsing and entertainment use. The only drawback is not having the Play Store that comes with regular Andriod devices. This tablet has a proprietary operating system called FireOS. FireOS is built on the same platform as Android but it uses an older version of the core platform. I would recommend this tablet for shopping on Amazon, browsing the internet, and watching Netflix/YouTube/Amazon Prime videos.

We purchased this Kindle to replace my husband’s similar device that he had for many years that unexpectedly died. My husband is an avid reader and probably uses his Kindle 5 or more hours a day. This device works great! He also uses the expansion slot to store and play music on a micro SD. He connects his earbuds using the Bluetooth feature with no issue. He even connects the kindle via Bluetooth to his car and plays his music using the kindle while driving. It’s a great value!

The kindle 8 does performs the tasks i want. Pricing is good. Set up services better than expected.

I never thought I would give up "real books" however LOVE my Amazon Fire. This is my 3rd one, I carry it everywhere. To have a book at my fingertips at all times is a pleasure. To use it as a tablet......internet, Google, weather, facebook......is handy. The ease of downloading books (which my subscription to Kindle Unlimited makes cost effective) can be learned by anyone. The variety and multitude of books available is amazing. I highly recommend this opportunity to read.

Nice size for browsing and easy to use. It is my husband's first tablet and he is 70 years old and finds it nice for browsing.
