Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet is a great tablet for the price and is well worth the price. The screen is the highest resolution, but what can you expect for the price. Overall, it a great for watching youtube videos or videos.

I mean, you can't argue with the price of this, but it's lacking some big name apps that I thought would have Amazon Fire versions but don't. Like Dropbox or BBC News or LA Times. Screen is great. Battery seems to last a long time. And the size is better than iPad if you're using it for reading mostly, you can hold it in one hand. I'd recommend... but with caution that you're going to be missing some useful apps.

Really enjoying my new Amazon Fire HD 8 Kindle Tablet. I had a first generation Kindle that finally died a couple of years ago ... this is replacing it. This works soooooo much better. Love it.

I bought this for my mother (who is addicted to Netflix). The device is easy to navigate for a parents of a 'certain age' and not too intimidating when all you need are a few apps to utilize.

This unit was picked up to provide gaming opportunities for the grandkids. So far it has performed well. I do note that some of the games need to be looked at carefully and we WILL NOT permit some of the personal information intrusions that are incorporated into some of the specific games. The unit has held up well so far and is incredibly inexpensive for the quality and durability of the unit. This size also seems fine for the kids too.

Was pleased with what this tablet can do I bought a second one in the blue color option as Christmas gift for someone. This tablet is primarily what I take to work and when I don't feel like taking my Ipad pro out.

This tablet was a great choice. I'm glad I ended up getting it. The quality of picture is great. My games are faster. I don't have service on it so I just use my wifi with it. Works great!

This 2017 8 is much better than last years 7 model. The OS feels more responsive, not slow and laggy like the 7 was. The build quality feels better, and most importantly the power plug port seems easier to use without breaking. I still feel like these types of connections are outdated and easy to bend/break for a child and I have no idea why they haven't evolved to usb-c yet. The storage and screen size are better than last years 7 and my kids love them so far, definitely worth the upgrade

I bought this for my girlfriend who is a school bus driver, she loves it! She does field trips and downloads movies and books to read and watch while waiting. Great tablet for the money

This is my third fired tablet, the other two... I had to give them away due to it's amazing durability. My two kids do love it. I had a Samsung in the past, which didn't last 6 months.

There is no better tablet out there for the budget conscious buyer than the Kindle Fire HD 8. It is also easily the best bang for your buck out of the whole Kindle family of tablets.

It's a good device to surf on the internet but you can't install some Android apps like Chrome, and the camera is horrible. I would recommend it for readers because you can use Hoopla, and that's amazing.

I must say this is so easy to use and convenient and so portable. If you need to entertain kids during appointments, etc., it would definitely be handy!

Bought this just because it was a good deal during the holidays. Ends up I use this ALL the time! The screen size & HD is perfect for watching shows and movies when I'm on the go.

I was looking to buy a tablet that was a different brand. I saw this and price versus features the Fire the obvious choice. I am pleased with the way the size and Screen clarity.

Great quality, easy to hold & manage. Chose the Blue for my dad so it stood one. Liked the option of different colors. A must buy!

Will try different apps, great clear pictures, use to watch news, etc. via my WiFi range extender, great reception, 500 ft. plus? Can't get Alexa working yet, must be old 73 me, I'll get it,! For sure.

Sharp screen, surprisingly quick web surfing with the Silk browser. Easy to add Google Store (albeit without Amazon's support) so you may add Google apps such as PlayBooks, etc. So you're not really locked into Amazon's ecosystem. The lockscreen ads are only seen for a few moments after you press the standby button and then swipe; so you won't even be tempted to pay Amazon the extra $ to have them remove it (remotely). Very happy.

My family loves their Kindle Fires. I bought 3 new Kindle Fires for this Christmas to either replace the ones that they wore out or this is an upgrade to the larger screen.

For the money you can't beat what you get. iPads still rule and are far better when you aren't connected to wifi but given the cost difference I think this is the best andriod to compete with it.
