This is a great tablet, I use it only for social media and is great for it, also for web surfing it has a good speed, the only bad thing is the camera

This is a good little tablet and actually pretty fast. The screen quality isn't as good as the iPad but it's also 1/10 the price.

For the price, it really can't be beat. It's awesome for what it is, an ereader, that browses the web, and plays games. However, there is no google, and You are stuck with there (Amazons) strange operating system. For a casual user that hasn't owned a full blown Android tablet or ipad, it is great. End of story, buy one. But, if you have owned a real Android tablet or equivalent, then this can be frustrating. If you are a power user, good news, Google is very easy to add, opening up this puppy's potential, and can be done from the tablets browser without the need of connecting to a pc, rooting the device, and losing your warranty. So, once that's been done, you have an amazing tool for an amazing price. The bad news, Alexa isn't the best AI and tends to have notifications that pop up but won't allow you to swipe them away. You have to go into apps and click on the notifications box for Alexa to disable them then re'enable to make them go away. Frustrsting. Last complaint, forced adverts. Not so bad on the 16gb 8 inch, but in the 8 gb 7inch it is terrible. I bought the thing, why force adverts on me? All in all its a solid tablet for a great price. 4 out of 5 stars. Or 8.5 outta 10

Use this mostly for amazon videos. Great screen for stealing a little movie time! Camera’s still suck, but get what ya pay for, right?!

This little tablet is compact and affordable. It handles day to day tasks like e books with ease and looks great.

I bought my first tablet and I love it. So easy to use and has so many functions.The price was very affordable.

I picked up the Fire tablet on a whim when it was on sale at a low price as a backup for traveling and for the kids to use, and make use of streaming services since we have a Prime account. I liked getting a larger screen at a low price. The wifi reception isn't that great, and the touch sensitivity isn't near what I get on the Samsung tablets, but for the price, I'm fine with it, provided that it holds up.

I've owned a couple iPads, three Samsung Galaxy Tabs, and I can without question say that this Fire 8HD is my favorite out of all. The 16Gig version is all you need. Why? Becuase the micro-sd card expands to 256 gig and the programs can be installed to the external drive...saving the valuable internal for the operating system. Samsung should do the same...if they did, I'd probably wouldn't have bought the Fire, but I'm so glad I did!! Love, love, love it!!

Really enjoying my new Kindle HD Fire 8" screen! It's a step up from my old Kindle 7" that I used for over 5 years and this one is a little larger and also very quick for the game I like to play on it. It's also useful to browse on facebook and check my email. All my books I had on my old Kindle are right here on my new one so was able to just get hooked up to my internet and get right back to what I was doing before! Very satisfied with my new Kindle!

I love my Fire HD 8. I can't believe a device that does everything this does is under $100. No, it's not an iPad or a Galaxy tablet, but those are designed to be productivity devices, and that's not what the Fire is for. I read books, stream video, play games, and spend time on social media on this tablet as I lay in bed every single night. My TV provider also has an app available in the Amazon app store that lets me stream live TV when I'm connected to my in-home wifi. I frequently have the Fire on my desk next to me streaming a football or basketball game while working in my home office. The build quality is great, the screen is good enough, and the battery life is outstanding - I only need to charge it once every few days. Great buy, and I will be buying another one whenever this one runs its course.

Nice display and decent battery charge for the price. Can not compare to iPad but very good for the price.

Good size to hold while just lounging on the couch or in bed. The tablet does everything I need it to, good for the money!

Purchased for my 8 yr old and he loves it. I would say better than the Samsung tablet for the price.

Great to take with me everywhere I go, small and compact. Where I like games or just want to read.
