Got this from Best buy on sale, which is the same price as Amazon. It's a lot faster than the 2017 HD8. Also seems less glitchy, but 1 star taken away because you need to reboot it now and then. 5 stars to Best Buy for their customer service. The Best Buy price went down on this a day after I got it, and Best Buy price matched it, no problem.

Bought this tablet as a Christmas present to replace an older model different brand that would no longer hold a charge. This is definitely a good tablet for the price.

I have enjoyed my purchase of the Fire HD 8. It is very easy to set up & use. It has a nice clear picture which makes watching videos fun. It is a great product.

Guess I did not read the description well enough. This one comes with ads. Annoying but doable. Not as intuitive as previous versions I have had. If you are going to use it to read and watch an occasional video it is probably acceptable. Might use it for net-work in a pinch but not as a laptop or desktop substitute. Very touchy. It is hard to determine what is running. One time I kept hearing soft sounds and only after a lot of flipping through programs found an Amazon video running in the background. Not Amazon's best effort

I love these for the young and old of my family. I gifted this Fire 8 for my 8 year old nefew and a 10" for my aunt and mom. I love the customer care that comes with Amazon and Best Buy. I have had no problem keeping my purchases protected. I have needed and used the protection plan for all of them. This one was replaced because my nefew has anger issues and in his words tapped (hit) the screen which shattered. Worth it! His last tablet was also a fire that lasted 4.5 years.

Great size and weight, large screen and preloaded apps. Has everything I need and room to expand.

This device is amazing. I love the ease of using this kindle. It has amazing sound and the picture is so good.

Wife has been wanting something a little bigger than her phone for games. It was a pain to get the Google Play Store setup and running for her until I found the most current video to download 3 files to use as patches to run it. After that it's been super. She uses it ( and I swipe it once in a while) to play to her hearts content. She is layed up health wise often and it sure helps her days. I may have to get one for my online darts!

Exchanged product for a basic black version, it was a Christmas gift, loving the size and ease of use.

I really enjoy my Kindle fire as it allows me to read my ebooks and play Pandora while I am in the middle of a workout. Very easy to use. Gave 4 of 5 stars as I am looking for an e reader that will read books back to you without having to join a monthly membership for 1 credit a month.

Great tablet with a bigger screen play games on and excellent memory.

This was bought for my daughter for Christmas. She had a smaller Kindle but it was a little slow. This one is larger and the display is Hd. She is really happy with it and tells me it's much faster. I would certainly recommend this for anyone young or old. Also got a great deal on price!!

The different color options is great, the processor is fast, colorful, vibrant and inviting. For those who prefer the feel of a kindle but look and flexibility of a regular tablet this is the right one for you. It was a birthday gift for my mother in law and she loves it. Way faster than her old galaxy tablet but definitely an upgrade

My son loves this tablet. It has majority of all the games he love. I like it because you can create a children’s profile and add/remove content you don’t want them to have access to.
