I only use it for reading and i always hold it. This cover is perfect. It is actually my second cover identical to my first. My original one started to frey on the corners after many years of use. It's easy to clean, lightweight, and simply attractive.

The perfect case

The cover is of fabric and feels really good in the hands. The front cover folds back and stays put via magnets. It offers sleep/wake function which is nice. There is a plastic mold that the tablet can snap into and holds it securely. Works well for the HD8 and HD8 plus models.

Great 8" Kindle cover

It is just enough cover to protect and prop for reading, without extra unnecessary bulkiness. The linen fabric look is more classy than plastic or even leather. My Kindle life continues unimpeded!

Wonderful tablet

I used it on my flights to hawaii from Chicago and there was plenty of charge left when I got there. Really great picture too.
