I purchase 2 of these tablets for my 2 grand kids, I purposely waited to do this review, my grand kids to this day still plays with their tablet and they are really well, they play roblox, #1 youtube, on and on, haven't had any problems with the tablets

I had the 7" generation and then upgraded to the 8" generation and WOW what an upgrade. This thing has been a life changer for my daughter and she loves using it for games, movies, youtube and is a life saver on a trip!

I love my kindle fire. This is my 5th one, and each one is a little better than the previous one. I started using it only for travel, but now it's my only source of reading material. It has replaced newspaper, books and heavy lap top for reading my emails.

Bought this to have a small option to carry around day to day. Does everything I needed it to do, and not as big as my full size tablet. Fits inside the pocket of my jacket, and runs anything I need to have without depleting my phone battery. Perfect for what I wanted

For under 100 this tablet works great, im very impressed I would recommend if your looking for a cheap android tablet this is a win. It's easy to side load the google play store it does not require root access. My only gripe is amazon not letting you delete their bloat-wear from the tablet.

I'm very happy with this tablet. I am mostly using it for watching videos and listening to podcasts. I have an older fire tablet that is still working, but the speed of this one is so nice. This one is also slightly larger than my older one. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a tablet.

My first time using a Amazon0Fire HD8 10the Generation Tablet. The larger size is great for reading. The 32GB of memory allows me to store a number of books when reading from Kindle. I am still learning all the features but, what I have learned so far, it is great.

I purchased this on sale for an adult's gift. So far, so good. They like it for watching YT videos (easier than on phone screen). I have an older generation one and use it for music, email, games, and watching videos. I also use it for online uses including searches and classes.

They are wonderful tablets my children love them as well as i do thry ate much bigger than the 7th edition they had and they really enjoy the bigger and better of playing their games and watching movies on them

I bought this Fire HD 8 table mainly to replace my (original) iPad Mini, as that iPad version no longer supported the YouTube TV app. The Fire HD 8 actually doesn't natively support YouTube TV either, but I was able to sideload the Google Play Store and install YouTube TV that way. It turned out that the Fire HD 8 is almost exactly the same size as the iPad Mini and was noticeably more responsive. For the most part, YouTube TV plays fine on it. I have no illusions that it is the equal of a current model iPad. The splash screen is a bit annoying. And you have to sideload the Google Play store in order to install certain apps. But at a fraction of the price of a current iPad Mini, I'd say I've gotten more than my money's worth with this purchase.

This Fire tablet is very nice and much faster than the old one we are replacing. The colors are beautiful and the screen is just the right size. It was a great purchase and would do it again.

Good tablet of good price. Great for reading and passing time

Purchased for a friend she had a Kindle but she is blown away with this item. She says very fast and intuitive to work with. Found her favorite crossword puzzles app. And now she's smiling and doing those puzzles. Thanks Best Buy salesperson for steering me in the right direction...

My husband likes it because it's easy to navigate. It has Alexa and you are able to use for a lot of different things. It is the size easy to use and carry when on outings or vacation.

The 10th gen. Fire HD8 although has a slightly bigger screen, it's overall size is slightly bigger, so custom fit folio covers from previous HD8's won't fit. One real annoying change was moving the power button next to the volume buttons. Can't tell you how many times I shut off the screen when trying to adjust the volume. It was better when the power cable plug was in between. Another change that I hope they fix in an OS update is that the date is not displayed on the drop down menu for the main functions. It was handy when watching YouTube videos to check the date so you could see how the video upload date compared with today's date, and similar uses like that. Otherwise it was just as you would expect if you had previous experiences with Fire tablets. Best Buy was helpful as usual. I bought the newer Fire because of the screen not operating on the older one. It didn't respond to touch any more. Since they couldn't fix the older one, they gave me the best deal they could on the new one. For grins, I may order a new screen from somewhere a try and fix it myself.

Bought this tablet as a gift. The price was excellent and it works great. It was an upgrade from a 2014 Kindle 7. Easy to use and set up. It's a perfect size to take on road trips and stuff in a bag. I would highly recommend for anyone that is looking at Amazon tablets.

so far really good, got it to read so i cant speak about social network functions since im not using them Besides the reading stuff i downloaded a couple of games and the tablet have a good performance on them . Recommended , is a good option for the price

Purchased this tablet for my wife for Christmas, we are both senior citizens, and not computer wizards. My wife has found this tablet to serve her needs, she now can read books, play her games, and do her e-mail on a larger, brighter screen. The battery lasts a long time and no problems or issues with this tablet.

It's great to have the Amazon Fire 8". It's easy to hold while using for reading books, listening to audio books, and researching the internet. I like that it opens large books that my old Kindle couldn't do. My 8" Fire is new so there is more to discover.
