I purchased the Amazon Fire tablet for my wife because she wanted something to read her books that wouldn’t strain her eyes. Since I knew she used the Kindle app, I figured this would be a good option. I was very pleased at how fast she was able to get used to the various apps, and also at how versatile it is. My wife not only uses it for books, but she likes entertainment options it has, since she could download the Spectrum TV app and use the music app. The battery is pretty good, and it lasts for several days before needing to be recharged. It also has ample memory space for its functions. One piece of advice: If you get this item, spend a little more money and get a case.

Much quicker and bigger than my last Fire and it's reasonably priced. Good for you, the kids, or whoever else is in the house.

OK so I bought this as a birthday present and knew I really wanted it for myself. So for the price I could afford 2. Man is it nice and affordable. I watch my recorded shows on Xfinity and YouTube and read my books. And with the wireless headphone we don't disturb one another in bed at night. I like the operating system and they hold their charges for a long time. I bought hers on sale for less than around 100 dollars and used my best buy coupons a couple of weeks later to get mine around the same price. Wow wee!!!
