This is my second Fire tablet. I only use the Kindle app (an actual Kindle is too small for my liking). I don't check email or watch videos; it is strictly a "Kindle" to me. The screen is large and easy to read. I have never had a problem with either of my Fire tablets. Since I don't use it for other tablet-type activities, I am not sure how well videos and games work, but the Kindle app is top-notch.

I bought this for my mother who was in desperate need of an upgrade. What made me choose this product over the other competitors was because of different reasons. 1.) Price: the price is unmatched and for what you get, you cant really complain. 2.) Battery Life: my mother watches shows/movies throughout the day, and becasue of the amazing battery life she only really needs to charge it every other day. 3.) Reliable/Sturdy: unlike other fragile tablets out there, i really like how this product feels and holds up to drops. Of course we have a case on it to extend the life of the tablet, but i just like the build better than the other options out there. 4.) Simplicity: its not the flashiest tablet out there, but it does what we need it to do. My mother can easily navigate through her tablet with ease and has no problems figure out how to use the other benefits it offers. Overall im very please with this purchase and i will most definitely be upgrading my daughters soon to another one down the road.

Loving this new tablet’s long battery life and quick page-loading. Not in love with the added size and weight over my older Fire 7. The 7 was definitely more convenient to pack for travel and easier and less tiring to hold. But I needed the extra storage space and the updated programming (plus rumors are that the 7 will be discontinued), so the 8 it is. Hopefully I’ll get used to the size and weight before long.

Was looking at Kindles with my wife when we found this gem for $65 which is about half price of the cheapest kindle we could find so we decided to get this instead. In all honesty she is very pleased with it. While the battery life is obviously less than the kindle, it is a much more capable device. Also she can of course still access her Kindle Unlimited on it so really she just ended up with a more capable device for less money. Very satisfied. I’m not going to dock them a star for this since she said it doesn’t bother her and we both got a laugh from it, but the Lock Screen on this device serves as a permanent advertisement for products on Amazon unless you pay a one time fee to get rid of it.

Good size, colors vibrant, boots quickly. Amazon should dispense with the advertisements on bootup, this a vert irritating feature. Perhaps they could provide the ability to turn this irritating feature off.

Everything we needed, nothing more, nothing less. I wanted a tablet for a pre-teen that was a step above the kids tablet but not too expensive. This tablet is perfect (size, capabilities, and price point). I am able to set limitations and gradually change them as my child matures. It provides enough memory for Roblox, Youtube, and Netflix (and other platforms).

Works great, very fast, easy to use controls. Nice picture and easy zoom.

The associate at kokomo best Buy recommended this model and it works great! He offered all sorts of assistance in transferring the books and also helped with 2 other items. I love our local best Buy and it is our..GO TO store. Products are one thing but having excellent staff makes it PERFECT!

I love this tablet. I bought it on discount with ads but ended up removing ads after the first month. From the compact size to the blue light for reading this is the tablet for every reader.

I really like the kindle that I bought. I live in Kenya as a missionary so it will help me be able to take many books without the weight. Not to big either. Only thing was one of the games I wanted to play on it, doesn't work well with Kindles.
