My granddaughter loves it it has parental controls turns off and she is ok with that the games and phonics are excellent even reading a book has made things more fun. In the car we sing songs .

Parental controls are intuitive and you can even use a remote app to update the settings as needed. We moved to the Fire from traditional iPads and are really glad we chose to do so as the apps for this tablet are very kid friendly (still have to watch out for inappropriate ads but not nearly as much as with the apple store). Pads are rugged and the external storage for additional content is a huge step up from the ipad. We've really liked the ease of the operating system for the kids and setup was as easy as any other pad. Plus the cost is 1/3 of what apple charges and it comes with a year replacement warranty. Very impressed with the pad so far - we shall see how it holds up to the kids after a year or two...

My grandson loves this tablet. I have to limit the time he spends on it. it has so many games and shows that keep his attention. once set up it is a breeze for him to operate all by himself.

Tablet is really good for kids, my nephew had 1 and i got one for my kid as well. Has alot of nice apps from educational, to fun games for children. Way better then giving a child your phone.

Purgihased this for my 7 year old son. It is simple to set up and even simpler for a 7 year old to use. You can use parental passcode so they cannot make a purchase without you knowing. Great starter tablet!

I got this tablet for my 3.5 year old son, who is hard on everything! The kid proof case has been amazing and the apps are easy for him to navigate and play. We are SO happy with this purchase.

This is the 2nd one and both have worked great both tablets have brought great joy to my kids and I would not hesitate to buy another one the games and everything works as they said it would.

I bought this Tablet for my 7 year old to watch movies on Hulu or Netflix. Play games, play educational school games and have tons of books. I have amazon prime and love that I can watch free movies or buy a movie and download to watch offline especially during flights.

Bought this for my grandkids for Christmas and they absolutely love it! Flipping through childrens videos and learning through the various apps is what they love to do.

This is the 2nd Fire kids tablet we have purchased, one for each kid so they stop fighting over the same tablet. Love that I can control everything from the FreeTime app, makes managing what they can do on it so much easier. Being able to control how much time they can spend on each activity (reading, videos, etc.) is probably the aspect I like the most, especially controlling the time that the tablet shuts off. Only issue we have seen is the tablets are sometimes slow to respond, or freeze up, but nothing that a restart can’t fix. Overall great little tablet, especially when you can get it on sale.

This is a very nice tablet for kids. Very durable, large screen, great price. My 6 year old destructive nephew uses it regularly and hasn't even scratched the screen.

Great tablet I really recommend it! It entertains my daughter plus you control what she can see!

This was a replacement of an old iPad. Price was much more favorable than others and it came with a sturdy case. Perfect device for what it is used for.

I wish they had USB C. The charging port is low quality and wears out very quickly. Everything else about the tablet has been great. Any issues have been resolved with a reboot. Apart from that, we are still using the first tablet we purchased a couple years ago and it has taken an absolute beating. I don't know if any other device would still be working after being the "daily driver," and by that I mean driven into the ground daily, of a child from the ages of 2-4. We are able to read books together on it, watch children's shows and play educational games. 100% worth the investment if used properly. The tablet also has great parental controls and filters built in to manage content and usage.

My 2 year old LOVES this tablet! It's easy to use and easy to handle! The best part is that we can download videos and she can watch them in the car without wifi!

Bought 3 of the Fire 8 hd tablets for the grandkids that live with us, they really enjoy them, can watch movies, listen to music, etc Well worth the purchase
