I bought two of these for my kids. The concept of how much content that is available is amazing, but the downfall is how slow this device actually runs. Obviously, it doesn’t offer much space so the kids keep downloading things because the interface allows a view of all available apps and there is constant queuing. I even put memory cards in them but it didn’t help with the speed. Second issue, the charger ports are absolute crap. It’s a kids tablet so you would think it would be durable for kids plugging it in. Not the case at all. I would have to tell the kids to have me plug it in because it wouldn’t say they are charging because of the port issue. I didn’t allow them to play it while it was plugged in or anything like that. I’m one of those parents that give my kids a certain amount of time on the tablets and then collect them and plug all of them in at the same time. I don’t understand how my phone port is plugged in and out all day long and yes, cords go out.. but not the port. At least not like this! I tried calling geek squad and repair shops around the Tulsa area and it cost $59 To repair the charger port. I had a few people even tell me it would be a better value to just buy a new tablet. That’s ridiculous. If your gonna sell a product, why can’t you repair it for a reasonable price Best Buy? Beyond irritated with the entire situation and I will not be purchasing this item again. If anyone purchases this it will not last longer than your amazon free time subscription.

This tablet works great for kids. Love the year subscription to Kindle Free Time on it. Easy to use and set up. Case is great from drops and throws. Do recommend getting a screen cover though.

Great way for kids to learn about technology & play games with programs fit for the appropriate ages. Also the settings for amount of time child allowed to play on tablet is very convenient!

First of, love the case it comes in. My grandson is active, but this thing can take a beating. Having it connected to my Amazon account allows him to read an almost unlimited number of book. The screen renders fairly fast. No complaints.

The soft case is perfect for my toddler and I like the parental controls Can run slow at times but for the price I'm satisfied

The tablet itself, is a good size for my (almost) 3 yr old. It is not heavy and seems to be the right size for him to handle. The protective case has definitely done its job. The viewing quality is decent. Otherwise, it is what you would expect from a tablet. I have not had another Fire before, so I can only compare this to a Samsung Galaxy, and so far, it is what I would expect from a tablet of this class.

Purchased this Amazon Fire Kids edition for my 2 years old boy. He likes it a lot. Now he doesn’t use my phone anymore to watch cartoons. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This is a great tablet for a child. Perfect size and fun games. I wish they would have had something like this when my children were young. But the grandkids will love it!

Got this for my grandaughter who just turned 3, she loves it and it is very simple to use. She turned it on after dad set it up she started enjoying it and had no problem working it. Has a good warranty and the amazon apps are plentifull.

Does what you want it to do and has a great warranty. Only annoying thing is that you can't set it to automatically boot to kid's profile. If it reboots on your kid then he/she needs your PIN to get back in.

My son needed a new tablet and its great bc I can set up codes and shut off apps for him not to use and I can manage his time from internet use to reading/playing.

I purchased this for my four year old grand daughter. I was afraid she would not understand how to use this, but she knew what to do from the beginning. Silly me

I got this as a gift for my toddler niece and she loves it! Very easy to setup!

Bought this for my down syndrome son. He tends to drop things snd the bumpers help keep it safe. Ez operation and was able to download music for my son.

Bought as a Christmas present for my grandson. He hasn't seen it yet but my son was playing a Hot Wheels game on it...lol. It should keep my grandson entertained when mom and dad need a break.

I purchased this for my youngest granddaughter after not being able to share her sisters kindle fire. Keeps kids busy with age appropriate games, puzzles and stories, perfect for long trips in the car and for air travel. You can load other programs as well as movies. Great value, especially since I took advantage of a sale and Best Buy rewards!

Both My Grandkids love their Tablet and it keeps them off their parents Phones which I believe I'm very thank foe this. It works just fine no problems.

Using different tools to help him learn shapes, numbers, letters, etc. Also hoping it will be a fun tool for him as he gets older to read and play on.

Overall this is a very nice tablet for the price. It comes with a protective shell cover so that if it is dropped by a child, it will likely not break. The shell cover comes in blue, yellow and pink. I bought the pink one for my 3 year old daughter. Thinking that this is a true android tablet, I assumed it would have Youtube and Youtube Kids on it. But, I soon discovered that this tablet does not have anything on it dealing with Google. My daughter loves Youtube kids, so this was not going to work for us. I googled the issue and found out that Amazon and Google are engaged in a fight and as a result no Google products exist on Amazon products. Clearly without Youtube kids, this tablet was going to be useless to us. So, I quickly went back to BB and returned it for the Samsung kids tab E.

Takes a little time to set up and optimize, but great for a starting tablet for a toddler either on the go or at home. Takes a little getting used to if you are use to other tablet styles.
