Purchased for fire tv controller

Turned my streamer into a gamer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This game controller was designed for the NEW model of the Amazon Fire TV. That means that, as of today, it only works with the model that came out late this year (2015). It doesn't "yet" work with the old models. Caveat Emptor! That being said, I just bought the NEW Amazon Fire TV and this game controller works great! It turned my streaming device into an Android gaming machine! To be fair, I haven't been much of a gamer in the past so I can't compare this controller to others by other companies. There are plenty of reviews on Amazon that go into those details ad nauseam. For me and my family it's just fun!

It is only compatible with the new Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD. Per Amazon, it will only be compatible with previous-generation Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick with an over-the-air software update which is not yet available. No timeline has been given for the release of the update.

Says it works on Fire TV Stick, but doesn't work

It probably won't work on other Fire TV devices too. It shouldn't say it works on a device when it doesn't!! Time for a return after a lot of wasted time...
