I don't know why Samsung/LG can't get their apps/UI to run fast like this. I guess having a seperate cpu to handle apps/graphics really uncomplicate things. This model seems faster than the 2021 max 4k model. It also has more space to download things.

You cant lose with this Firestick. 4k capabilities, Gamepass (cloud based) ability for gamers, and most every app for entertainment and everything in between. This higher tiered (4K Max) one just has higher processing power so if you dont need Gamepass or 4k just spend a few dollars less. But my sentiments has always been I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I believe this will last that long with the upgraded WiFi l connection and beefier hardware compared to the base fire stick. I would pick this one over the base fire stick any day and highly recommend this for streaming.
