My golden decided to chew up our other remote.

You do not need any cable boxes if you have a Google/Android/FireTV with AltaFiber. This Fire stick was reasonably priced and is very easy to use. This is a much better option than having a bulky cable box sitting around that you have to pay monthly rent for having.
