Because the TV was not a smart TV we decided to purchase The Fire TV Stick lite to avoid running cable wiring to the TV set that is mounted on the wall. Because this is not one of the main TV sets in the house the Fire TV stick is perfect for downloading apps to our favorite DirecTV channels!!!

The FireStick is simple to set up and sync up all your existing streaming apps and bring them all together to a seamless navigational place. Out of the box it’s pretty much “plug and play.” I recommend making an Amazon account (if you don’t have one) prior to plugging it to your TV.

Great Streaming Device for the Money

Can't beat it's value. On future models, I hope Amazon adds backlighting for the remote. That is one downside. Also, I didn't think I would miss the TV remote function from this cheaper model, but in hindsight I probably should have bought the more expensive model.

When I got this home, and hooked up to the guest bedroom tv, I quickly fell for the layout, and use. It's one easy product to use.

I have an older TV and I am able to turn it into a smart TV with this device. It connects to my Alexa, so I am able to ask Alexa to find movies or TV shows all by voice. I can also press the microphone button on the remote, and search by voice, which is very convenient.

This worked perfectly! I can watch Netflix in my living room again!

The new Firestick was quick to download/log on to all my favorite apps. No crashes or lag since I made the swap.

Does exactly what it should

The apple tv interface is so crappy that no one else in my house would use it. The Fire TV works well in its place. No complaints.
