Got it for my little sister, she loves it! Best investment so far. Instead of being on her phone all the time she’s reading. She takes it everywhere with her and its so cute and compact, doesn’t take much space and the battery life is amazing!

Paperwhite technology is amazing. When you realize you don't need all the extra bells and whistles, this is great. Phones/tablets can do everything else you might want this to do, so you really don't need the bigger versions of this. It fits in my coat pocket even with the cover- it makes the smaller version of this better. Loses a star because Amazon gets greedy and locks this down to only get books from the Amazon store. There's workarounds you can Google. The backlighting and clear text is getting me to read more, and the price for what you get isn't bad. Light enough so I can read for hours with no issues.

I got a kindle because I grew tired of tossing and turning when I was reading a physical book, trying to find a comfortable position. The purchase was almost impulsive, but I don’t regret it at all. It looked a bit small, but after a few days of use I feel like it firs perfectly in my hands and is just the right size. There’s a dark mode and a light mode which I love, since at night i prefer to look at a darker screen. Also, there’s absolutely no glare, even after reading for hours at a time, unlike my phone. If you’re an avid reader whose tired of constantly moving around trying to find a position to read your book in, this Kindle is definitely worth the buy.

Since buying this WONDERFUL little reading friend, I have read about 300 books!!! I have paid for one or two, but mostly I just get the free download ones!! I went into the sun, and unlike the "fruit type pad" it is just like reading a book and I CAN ACTUALLY SEE WHAT I AM READING!!! This is an amazing invention and I wish I had had one when I was in Nursing school!!!!

I was a Kindle Paperwhite user but now I’m a Kindle basic apologist. Yes, there’s no warm light. But that’s about it! It’s so small and fits in my pocket, the screen is crisper than the Paperwhite’s, and the match’s color is just so cute. Seriously, as someone with small hands, your wrists will thank you if you read for hours at a time like me.

I have read books on a Kindle for years! The new small size is wonderful as it fits in my purse and so I always have my book to read! I highly encourage everyone to buy one and to give as a gift! They will have it for years!

I usually read on my phone or on paper, but there's nothing more frustrating than trying to read in the dark or getting a call and forgetting where you left off. This Kindle caught my eye not only because it's new, but also because it's the perfect size to take anywhere, the light is just right for my eyes—soft and diffused—and the matcha color is a real reassurance to my brain that I'm in the safe place of reading. This is just too cool.

Chose this kindle over the paperwhite as I think it is the perfect size to fit in my hand and fits right into my purse!! It doesn’t have the warmth lighting setting but I’ve had no problem with it hurting my eyes and I’ve stayed up hours reading at night! The matcha color is also the cutest!

It's the best investment I made so far. I love to read but when I would use my phone or my laptop or my ipad I would get distracted and somehow end up online shopping or watching videos hahaha.. This has kept me on track and I've never been more invested in reading to be honest until now. It is also very compact and fits anywhere. It's so small that I even lost it !!! lol but no worries I purchased another one because its a must have for me at this point!

A very lightweight and easy to use e-ink reader. The response is rather well, too. And the documents I can upload to it are perfectly readable, too. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would buy another one as a gift to an avid reader in a heartbeat.
