I have used a kindle keyboard for years but the buttons are wearing out so I needed a replacement and settled on this kindle. It is very light, the screen is clear and the touchscreen works well. A good choice.

My 2nd generation Kindle stopped working after 10 + years, so I bought this as a replacement. It is definitely an improvement...smaller, easier to use with touch screen controls versus buttons. No complaints.

Great reading device when I can't have a real book. Perfect for traveling or during carpool waiting. Easy to read outside or inside, day or night. Battery life is great.

My mom is tech illiterate. She had an original Kindle but the screen print bled and made it unusable. Reluctant to a touchscreen device she decided she still wanted it because she "loves her Kindle". While it was a bit of a learning curve she still got the hang of it and now she's back to old self and her kindle!

Bought 2 kindles as Christmas presents for my two daughters, ages 13 & 10. They loved them! Easy to use, light-weight, and durable. Great quality, especially for the price!!

I got this for my daughter who kept loosing her computer/tablet privileges yet she still wanted to read. This e-reader was perfect for her as we already had a ton of Kindle books. It's much easier to read on than the Kindle Fire. The matte screen keeps glare to a minimum. Not to mention she keeps cracking the glass screen of the Kindle Fire. This Kindle has a plastic screen which won't crack and break like her other tablet. I understand her Kindle Fire has parental functions I could use to keep her from playing, but it just seemed like too much trouble, and she prefers to read on the Kindle.

This is my 5th Kindle and is by far the best and easiest to use. It downloads quickly and holds the charge for a week of normal use. There is no glare on the screen.

This is the third one I have purchased. One for me and two as gifts. It’s easy to use and has many great features. My favorite is the backlight for night reading.

I have three other kindle Fires and this is a great addition. Very small compared to my 10 inch Fire but I love it. Easy to read and plenty of storage for books.

Performs excellent, great contrast for reading. My only complaint is, the software is a bit awkward and hard to find some things in I think it could be better.

The kindle has a very long battery life. The screen is very easy to read in daylight, but there is no backlight if you need to read in the dark.

I originally got the lower end Kindle, took it back and upgraded. The light really is a must. I can't believe how much more I'm reading now that I have it, and there are TONS of free books out there if you know where to look. Best. Purchase. EVER.

I had always been looking to upgrade my original Kindle. I love the new touch features and display on this one. The size also makes it very easy to transport.

Great way to read books on the beach. Easy to use and set up. I like the way it syncs your book across all your devices. Very light weight too.

This is really good if you read a lot, doesn't strain your eyes and very light weight. Only demerit is - cant use in night if there is not enough light.

It is so easy to use it is super light, and makes a book to read with no effort at all!

Such a great product. I like that it is very small and fit in my purse. I like that the battery last for a very long time.

I love the non-glare screen and the battery life! Would recomend one with the light for more avid readers.
