I lie the size and weight for the kindle-makes it very convenient to take large books with me in digital format.

I love my Kindle! I'm back to reading so much more often as I always have several books with me at all times! At first it surprised me that this version doesn't have a back light and you need a light to read, but I actually like it now as I don't get the eye strain like I do when using my phone.

I bought this as a gift to my dad and he loves it. Well worth if you dont plan on reading in dark.

Bought at $49 in thanksgiving, I owned previous version before and this one has a better build.

Nice alternative for reading kindle books for kids. Not many features but good enough for reading.

I read a lot on the iPhone and iPad which also have Kindle apps that are good, but there is too much glare on their screens on a bright, sunny day; this little Kindle without a backlight is a nice solution to that problem. The recent sale price made it practical to get one, and I'm glad I did.

Good to use it to read books under light.the price is lower than other website.

That is my 3rd Kindle. Love to read on it. I wish they will finally put a microSd slot on it, but not a big deal..I get it on sale - so perfect product for the money. Battery last for days ,really happy with my purchase.

I should have purchased a kindle sooner. It's easy to use and I love it!

This Kindle doesn't have a lighted screen like the pricier models but it has a higher dpi screen than the lower model. It's exactly what I needed, nothing more, nothing less. I've had no problems with the reader at all so far so I'll give it 5 stars.

I bought this Kindle for my mom. Her other one finally broke after 6 years. It took her a little getting used to having a touch screen but it’s been working well. The only downside I found was that there were no instructions in the box

I really enjoy reading on the Kindle, but definitely wish I would've spent a few more dollars are gone with the Paperwhite for the lit screen. This one is just too dim. I believe the newer version comes with a lit screen

I own the Kindle Generation 2. This is generation 8. If it's dark enough to need a light I turn the light on or go to sleep. Didn't need the paperwhite or the higher resolution. This is perfect like my 8 year old one.

As per me this is a product to protect your eyes while reading.
