I am really enjoying my reading on my kindle.It is as close as you can get to reading a paper book. So far I have not experienced eye strain. It doesn't have the shadow look on the letters like on a laptop. It's small enough to fit easily on my hand bag but big enough that it is easy read. I am an avid reader(when I have time)so ease to carry it with is a big plus.

I purchased my kindle on sale and I love it. It’s small, lightweight, portable, and comfortable to hold for long reading sessions. I really wanted an e-reader but didn’t want to spend $140+ on the paperwhite. While this one isn’t waterproof, I don’t anticipate reading in the rain or bath. One downside is that the backlight doesn’t have an option to adjust the warmth, so reading in low light sometimes isn’t the best experience. This version also doesn’t have a dark mode option to invert the text and background color. Those details aside, I really like this product. Hopefully in a few years the baseline kindle model adds warmth to its backlight.

Bought it for my 70 year old sister and after a simple setup, mapping it to an account, her experience has been great. Good lighting, easy setup and easy reading. If you’re not looking to spend a bundle, don’t desire reading books, this is a no brained option for many of you.

I absolutely love the functionality of this Kindle. Battery lasts a good amount of time. My recommendation though is to get a case on it ASAP. The back casing is slick and often slips easily out of my hand ( a case helps that). Even though the price was decent, I feel that the Kindle is outdated in features.

The improvements to th basic Kindle are great! I've been reading on mine the past several days I'm extremely impressed. The lighting is the brightest, whitest and most even I've seen. IT's comfortable to hold, easy to read, and just as my Oasis and husband's Paperwhite. Highly recommend!

I got this kindle over the paper white not because it was more expensive, but because the borders around the paperwhite look terrible, this kindle is small, fast, easy to use and an overall great e-reader. Id highly recommend getting it.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The size is perfect for reading and coupled with Kindle Unlimited, I now have the ability to read book series like I used to in the past. I do like that these come with an illuminated background so reading in a dark location is much easier.

This is just what I was looking for in this type of device. I have enjoyed using it for personal and organizations, for whom I volunteer. Easy to use, light weight and fits in my hand

Lightweight, battery life is very long. I've always loved reading but get distracted on my tablet due to other apps. This keeps me focus on reading only.

I love my kindle! It holds a charge for a few days which is perfect for me because there are times when I forget to plug it in. I love that this is backlit because it’s perfect for night reading and it’s great outside too! I definitely recommend this kindle!

Great size and quality for reading on the go, specially when you are traveling. Works seamlessly with Amazon account but it was somewhat complicated to transfer kobo e-books.

Great gift for my wife who loves to read. I bought this device because it is much better to read on this than your smartphone and the battery lasts a long time and just connects right to your amazon kindle account.
