I absolutely love this Kindle. It is brighter and more vibrant than my black-and-white Kindle paper white. I have both. But I do enjoy having the availability to notate and highlight in color. Though I wish it was a bit more vibrant. I like the look of it. I also wish they had different highlighter colors.

Gave this as a gift and my mom is absolutely thrilled. No issues whatsoever, it works flawlessly, and she now has access to our 14.5k ebooks, audiobooks, and other random content. She is absolutely spoiled for choice.

My wife has had a recent eye injury with focus being an issue with one eye. She tried tablets and paperback. The kindle color allows her to read comfortably in the day or night.

The Kindle Colorsoft is very easy to use and provides options for changing the size of fonts to make it easier to read under different conditions. It worked wonderfully on the beach under a bright sun!

I grabbed this Kindle Colorsoft for my wife and honestly it has not left her side since. She reads at the gym between sets, in the car, and every night in bed. The color screen was the main reason I picked this one and it actually makes a difference for covers and anything with graphics. It still has that easy on the eyes Kindle feel, especially with the warm light at night. Battery life has been solid so far and she barely thinks about charging it. If I had to nitpick, it is a little pricier than the basic models, but seeing how much she uses it, it has been completely worth it.

After extensive research all year on whether to get a tablet or an e-ink device for my increasingly digital reading habits I finally pulled the trigger on this version of the Colorsoft and have been enjoying it thoroughly for the past month. I read a mix of novels and comics, and the Colorsoft has proven to be the right choice. While not as large as an iPad or similar sized tablets, reading comics is a pleasure on the Colorsoft thanks to what can probably be best described as "newsprint" style color reproduction. This works great for comic books from the 1990s and earlier decades. Newer comics like Batman: Hush don't fair quite as well, but are still readable, particularly with Kindle's guided view for comic book panels. You will need to turn up the backlight to read and enjoy comics but it's worth the battery tradeoff. IMHO, it was worth spending the extra money on the Colorsoft for my mix of reading, but if you are a strict novel reader I would probably recommend the Paperwhite instead.

I love reading on all my kindle devices, now in color. Makes it a nice added touch. Thinking about getting the kindle scribe color. I have a kindle scribe, love the note taking feature.

The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft was the perfect gift for my book loving wife. The quality is great and the size is perfect for her hands… Great value for the money.

I was hesitant to purchase the colorsoft after all the reviews through the years. I love my Paperwhite and was concerned about the "screen door effect" if the colorsoft. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it up. Yes, it's not as crispy clean as the Paperwhite, but it still looks great and it doesn't bother me at all. I loveeeee the color. It's not an iPad so it's not as vibrant, but it gives my Kindle so much more life. The price is a little steep though so I wouldn't recommend if it's at full price.
