It doesn't have the shadows around the edges like my paperwhite did, it holds all my books, and it auto adjusts for the room. I am thrilled with this reader!

So I waited a bit before making a review. After a month of owning this, I can say that I have a love/hate thing going on. I have the Kindle Paperwhite, which I love, but was looking to upgrade since the Oasis has the warm light. Loves: -I love the fact that you can adjust the warm light because I deal with migraines. I’ve been able to read more with this Oasis than I have in a while. -I also love how it has the buttons. It feels nice to hold and doesn’t feel heavy. Hate: -The battery life on this sucks in comparison to my paper white. -The price is pretty hefty, you’d think you can get the option to remove the ads with no additional cost. Overall, I don’t regret getting the Oasis. It’s been nice to read on it. I just have to be mindful to charge it more often.

As an owner of both a Paperwhite and an Oasis, I can say that I love both. The slightly bigger screen, premium metal feel, and color temperature settings may not justify the extra cost to many, but as an avid reader, I knew I’d get many many hours of use out of it.

This version of the Kindle is a great device. The physical buttons and the “bezel” makes it easy to hold with one hand.

I originally bought the PaperWhite, but after one week, I returned it and paid the extra for the Oasis. For me it was because of the buttons and warm white feature. On the PaperWhite the margin is so small that you have to gently rest your thumb on the side and every minute or so lift the thumb and press the screen to turn the page. This got annoying after a few days. But I was enjoying the E Reader experience so much that I decided to go for it and upgrade to the Oasis and I'm glad I did. If you plan to read it daily then go with the Oasis, the buttons make page turning second nature. I do think the settings interface could use some improvement. Changing the font is simple but some of the other settings get lost in the drop downs. I think Amazon should relook at the operating system and make some improvements. I like mine to show time left in the chapter, but for some reason it keeps reverting back to time left in book. When I want to change it, I spend 5 minutes trying to figure how how to find the setting to make the change. Not sure why it keeps reverting back after a few days.

Like all its precessors, the Kindle is a pleasure to use. It's super light, handy, you can annotate, carry all your books at once, and this format reduces movements to flip pages.

Love the size and convenience of it. Lightweight and easy to hold. Can read in the sunlight. Took a little getting used to since I have another tablet that’s in color. This is strictly for reading so all the extras are not needed.

Easy to read and use!! Bigger screen size than the Kindle Paperwhite, buttons are great when you don’t want to use the touch screen to turn the pages.

My Kindle paperwhite first gen had started acting up, rebooting randomly a few times, and a few lockups, so I figured time to replace (was a 1st gen paperwhite) and since I read 2 to 3 books a week (thanks to pandemic and retirement) I figured time to buy the best, and the Oasis is the best. Larger screen makes reading a breeze, and the buttons to turn pages is amazing convenient, much better than having to press the page every time like on paperwhite (which didn't always work for me) And the body of the Oasis feels much sturdier and superior construction

I really love this Kindle. It is considerably smaller than my previous Kindle, so I had reservations, but it has so many good features that override the size consideration. Love the side button page turners. I reconfigured mine. The factory setting was bottom button go-back, top button next-page. Just not natural for me. Very user friendly settings (I did purchase a User Guide). The best part is that in airplane mode, it uses very little battery. And charging is so fast. It charged from 17% to fully charged in less than one hour!
