Many appreciate the adjustable screen size and warm light feature, perfect for comfortable nighttime reading. The device's large storage capacity is also a plus for those with extensive ebook collections. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback.

This Kindle Oasis is a little pricey compare with others like the Kindle Paper White, but it is very nice.

I like the Kindle Oasis but I don't 'love' it. The screen is large and easy to read. The extra inch in screen real estate makes a big difference over my old Kindle Paper White. The Battery is another story. Do not believe Amazon's hype about battery life. If you are a casual reader the battery is okay. I read a great deal and I read daily. I have had to turn off or minimize all of the extras to squeeze out decent battery life which make all of the extras I purchased it for mostly useless. Screen illumination, wifi, page refresh, etc., drain the battery very quickly. Charging daily is necessary unless I turn all of these features off or to minimum. As I now work from home thanks to the Coronavirus and spend all evenings at home, my reading has picked up even more and battery life has become glaringly obvious. Kindle Paper White is a far better value for the casual reader. The large storage space and extra screen space of the Oasis are the best features.

I had high hopes for this Kindle for reading books and other documents. After having HD screens on my smartphones and tablets, I couldn't get used to black and white book covers and other graphics. I really wanted to like this device, because the size and aspect ratio was just right. Unfortunately, I had an extensive collection of Google Play Books that are DRM protected, and there was just no way to read those books on the Kindle. Although I could convert the books to EPUB so they could work on the Kindle, the conversion did not address the DRM protection. When I first started reading ebooks on Android tablets, the tablets were 7 to 8 inches in size with a 4:3 aspect ratio, just right for ebooks. Now they are so big for watching movies, that they are unwieldly for books. So I really wanted to like the Kindle Oasis because it was the size of the first Android tablet that I owned. I just couldn't see buying all the ebooks over again that I already owned just so they could be on the Kindle. Another thing that was weird is that if you have a number of Word and PDF documents, you have to send the documents one at a time to the Kindle's special email address. You cannot plug the Kindle to your computer and batch download your files to it. They won't show up to be read that way. So I ended up returning the Kindle.

I'm a first time buyer of a Kindle so I didn't know what to expect (and maybe still don't.) I've only had for a short time and will have to go to the store to get help understanding the nuances for use. Then again - maybe I can just call TotalCare! Glad to have that! I purchased this with large gig so as to stop adding books to a shelves and easily carrying them - lots of them! So far that's great.

Upgraded from an old Kindle. Really like the form-factor. I thought it would be too big but it is smaller that it looks online. Also love the hardware buttons. Need to get away from the old style Micro USB and get on the USB-C bandwagon.

I love this reader I usually use the tablets with kindle app. I decided to try a real reader and I love it. Small but yet the font is the same size as im use to. Don't have all the clutter that you would on a regular tablet with notifications. It did take me some time getting use to it and all the settings. Well worth purchasing.

I use it with the touch screen turned off and in the horizontal mode. With the battery on the bottom it makes it easy to hold and much quicker than in a horizontal mode. You can adjust the brightness of the screen and use the new color tint mode. It also has Bluetooth for connecting your audio books. Very happy with the purchase.

I’ve read that I overpayed for the Oasis since the Paperwhite is supposedly the same thing for around $100. less, but I try not to think about that. I should have done my research but I still love this item.
