Perfect gift for my daughter!! She's extremely excited because her old one she had for years was not holding up. This is exactly what she asked for and she's constantly reading books and needs a fresh start.

I had historically been a real book reader but have found myself reading in bed before I got to sleep more and more these days and it was becoming uncomfortable to hold the book and the even the little pocket lights I found on amazon to use were bothering my wife sleeping next to me. So I purchased this kindle and have no become a total convert. The ability to adjust font and brightness were fantastic and given the slightly larger size of this kindle over the basic does make a huge difference for me in not missing a physical book. Amongst the many little conveniences of this e-reader, I particularly like that I can touch on a word and the kindle will provide a definition rather than reaching for a phone. Also, to combat the need to actually hold the kindle, I purchased a “tablet holder” on Amazon for $20 which comfortably bends around the back of my neck and holds the kindle in place so all I have to do is raise a finger to turn the page when reading in bed. I would also mention that the kindle does great outdoors as well, obviously this kindle being the upgrade over the basic does wonders for adjusting to different lighting conditions. I get that some people but may be reluctant to pay bit of money up front for an e-trader but this has been one of the best purchases I have made in a while. If you Iove reading, it’s a seriously fun upgrade over a traditional book.

Love everything about this Kindle! It’s worth every penny! I’m impressed with the fonts, the back lighting and the ease of turning pages, it’s a winner!

Love this Kindle! I am so happy with this purchase. I haven't had it long enough to confirm the longevity of the battery life but so far I am very pleased.

Didn’t think I would ever love reading from anything other than a hard back book! But this makes it so easy on the eyes and convenient!

This Kindle is fantastic, reading inside and outside the home is excellent. The screen does not darken in sunlight. A good Christmas gift.

I may have made a mistake. My wife asked for a kindle for christmas and I figured... whats the harm in that.. Little did i know my wife would proceed to ignore my existence from the moment she opened it. I now have too much free time for my own hobbies seeing as my wife is now thoroughly entertained. I wanna crack a cold one open with the boys? She doesnt even look up. Wanna play video games for a couple hours? She just sits next to me content. Want a happy wife? Get the kindle. Want attention... maybe dont. Jkjk 10/10
