This is my 3rd kindle purchase. I do also have an iPad and a Samsung tablet, but for reading that does not strain your eyes, long battery life, and soft backlight that can be adjusted from bright daylight to low-light dark room setting, that does not bother a sleeping husband, this is definitely the best. If you are an avid reader, then I especially recommend as the storage is also ample enough for hundreds of books and you still have all your kindle books purchased from Amazon in the cloud to free up space (if needed).

kindle Paperwhite is easy to use, lightweight, and perfect for the avid reader. It easily allows you to take book(s) with you wherever you go since it's so small, thin, and light. The battery lasts for SO long, it's easy to find where you left off by using bookmark, definitions are a press away, easy to read in the dark (a book-light is not necessary!), and stores an enormous amount of books on one device.

This is the 2nd Kindle paperwhite I have owned. I love the way I always have the right light for reading from being on a bright beach to being in a dark room. I like how I can change the type size so I have to letters at the optimal size for reading. Some people argue that you can get the free kindle app and read kindle products without buying a kindle, but I hate reading the tiny print of a cellphone and the fact I burn down my phone battery as I read. I also like the fact that I can carry a small library with me wherever I go. Really recommend this product!

This is my second Kindle Paperwhite. My first Kindle died (I believe it was old age as cause of death) and the next day I went out and purchased a replacement. So easy to set up and there were all my books. The Paperwhite is so easy on your eyes and love that you can adjust the font to any size that's comfortable. Can be used with dim lighting or no lighting at all. Great for reading in bed.

The Kindle paperwhite is a great little reader screen is bright, you don’t get the eye strain you get when reading off other pads or tabs, the brightnesss is adjustable, the kindle store has plenty to offer. Before purchasing I read a book on this and the comparible Nook as a comparison not only are the books cheaper, the battery lasts longer I got 3 days out of the Nook at full brightness before recharge, I got 10 days out of The Paperwhite at full brightness before recharge. Completely satisfied with the Kindle you should be too!

I love reading before going to bed, but backlit electronic devices tend to keep me awake just when I should be getting tired enough to fall asleep. The screen has a great resolution, the device is a snap to set up, and there's little to no glare if you take it outside. Additionally, the battery lasts just about forever. Straight out of the box I used it for almost three weeks before I charged I, and I still had nearly a quarter charge left. It's now my preferred reading device as compared to my tablets, which include an iPad and an LG Gpad. Highly recommended.

I was apprehensive about purchasing/using an e-reader not knowing how it would "feel" using this device vs. a physical book. I have been very pleased with the ease of use, the easy on the eyes and the feel of the Kindle Paper white. I especially enjoy having the ability to change the font size. I strongly recommend purchasing the protective cover/case as this adds a little volume to the feel of the device and it is nice to simply close the cover to put the device to sleep and it awakens when the cover is opened.

Was undecided between new PaperWhite and Voyage models and doing a lot of research to see which one is best. Based on some personal analysis on in-store samples, I felt the Voyage has nothing more price worthy than what new PW could offer with lesser $$$. If you are undecided like me, don't worry about the gimmicks of voyage, go for PW..

The resolution and contrast are great, and unlike multi-use tablets, this performs great in direct sunlight. With the adjustable light, it's also great for pitch-black rooms. The battery life is also better than any tablet you'll find. I can't imagine going back to paper books ever again, not only because of the convenience of the Kindle, but Kindle books are always cheaper than their physical counterparts! I love this thing.

I love this Kindle. The size is great making it easy to almost always have it with me. Very light weight. The back lite is great for reading in bed. Love the ability to turn it off when it's not needed. Easy to set up, connects to any wifi. Battery lasts a long time.

I've had a couple different Kindles & have also tried to read books on my iPad & phone. LOVE the Kindle Paperwhite. You can read it outside in the sun, by the pool, on your deck etc... & the print is always clear & visible. The battery stays charged for several days & it's small size makes it easy to carry in your purse or tote bag!

I love to read and was hesitant about e-books because I had tried reading on my laptop or my phone and it just didn't stick. I decided to try with this Kindle and I was very surprised of how comfortable it is to read on it, just like reading paper and better, so much better. The battery lasts forever, couple weeks even with the backlight. Read a whole book without recharging and there was still like 30% when I decided to charge it because I was going to travel.

I've had an iPad and iPHone for years, which also allow me to read my kindle library, but the Paperwhite has three advantages: 1) you can see it in bright sunlight, 2) the charge will last for weeks, and 3) because it is much cheaper it is less vulnerable to theft and less of a loss if it is damaged. I bought the Internet version, but it is also available with a connection to the kindle net, which enables you to download books anywhere, even where there is no access to Internet.

After a bit home work, between basic Kindle, Paperwhie, and the new Oasis, I decide to purchase Paperwhite. One particular reason is the lighting. I read before I go to bed, sometimes after my wife went asleep, so this lighting thing is really awesome! Loved it. Battery is quite good, exceed my expectation. The weight feels just right in the hand. I would recommend this to any who loves to read and maybe don't want to spend $200+ on a device!

I love this Kindle. It syncs without needing to prompt for it, downloads new books quickly and the backlighting is effective even at low levels so I don't disturb my sleeping husband when I want to read in bed. Its compact and lightweight size make it easy to carry anywhere and comfortable to hold.

I have several Kindle versions. My daughter bought this for her birthday as she loves reading several series. She doesn't have to carry a bag full of bulky books on trips or use a light to read at night. It stores many books in a very small space and if she wants to reread a book she can simply go to her account and download it again if it's not on her Kindle. The battery lasts a long time too. She now takes it to school to read during down time. I took mine on a 2 week trip to the Galapagos. I used on in the airport, on my flights, and several times every day since there was no internet or tv on my ship. It took up very little space and weight on a restricted baggage limit and I didn't have to recharge it. Also, It's much easier to hold vs a big book.

It's small and compact. There is no glare, battery life is awesome and it's very easy to read in the dark.

Paperwhite is light. Light feature is a must for night readers. No paper! No more trips to the library. The library is in your hands. 8 months and counting with no issues!
