There are so many advantages to owning a Kindle. Instant delivery of books. Library at your finger tips. If you try to purchase a book you've already read you are advised of previous purchase. Built in back light to read at night. Small, very light, no glare and easily read outdoors. After years of reading you acquire a room full of books that become an albotross and if you are the typical reader, you hate to throw them away or give them to someone else. Long battery life and excellent screen, easy to read. A great value. Oh and kindle books are cheaper that the printed books.

The kindle paper white is a great size and weight. I live in New York so while I'm on the train and can't sit down to read, this kindle offers convenience because you can comfortably hold it in one hand. I was against e-readers at first but after this purchase I definitely appreciate them.

Read Kindle books daily and had been utilizing my iPhone and IPad to read but neither of these are conducive to reading in the sunlight. SO I bought myself an early Christmas present and love the ease of use and the ability to read while outside in the bright sunlight. Worth every penny!!!

I bought two of these for my parents while they were visiting. These were an excellent choice as my parents are older. Being able to adjust the font size, the backlit display touch screen all easy to use features. My parents read alot and have said many times now how much they enjoy them.

I got this as my birthday gift. I like it very much since I can read books I like through Amazon. It is so light that I can take with me to anywhere I went. The color of the screen is really paper like which will not hurt my eyes even I read for a long time.

I received the Standard Kindle as a gift and upgraded to the paper white. It is perfect for all settings and is super easy to use. The backlights and adjustable dimmer makes it perfect in any light. I am reading so much more now with my new Kindle Paperwhite. Absolutely love it!

Kindle Paperwhite is the perfect reader. It's small size fits into a purse or carry all, and the light weight makes it very easy to hold. The response time when buying books is very fast. It is the perfect addition to the Kindle family. I also recommend purchasing the leather cover.

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. I enjoy reading books, but didn't think anything could match having the physical book in your hands. I was wrong. I really enjoy this little thing- The screen is great and it's very light. Highly recommended.

The kindle was a graduation gift for our son who was going to travel with friends for a month. He usually fills his backpack with a ton of books, which he is reluctant to leave behind once read. This really lightened his load and he loved being able to read in all light conditions

My husband bought a Paperwhite for himself a few months ago but at the time I turned down his offer to buy one for me as well thinking I would continue to read on my tablet. However when we spent time reading and relaxing in the yard I became jealous that he could read his scree so easily while I struggled to see mine at all. In the end I caved and let him buy one for me as well and I love it. It's neat and small and light weight and easy to hold and the battery lasts more than a week.

I really like this reader. I can sit outside in the sun and be able to read my book. The sunshine doesn't wash out the screen. It is just like reading a regular book, but better. You can adjust your lighting as needed for other times of the day and night.

This is my first e-reader. The screen has a nice feel to it. It reads really well. I don't like the fact that Amazon has total control of your purchases. I do not like the Amazon free unlimited book trial. They don't allow access to certain titles. So far I am able to find most of my book selections. I will be creating my own reading lists and want zero input from Amazon. The battery life seams to be awesome. Of course when you shut it off ads pop up. The kindle claims that it doesn't take up battery to display these ads. But they seem to mysteriously change on their own (even when it is turned off) Strange. It is super nice that you can read in the dark with this one. (Kindle Paperwhite) I like the fact it is small enough to carry around in a purse, yet big enough to read...the font is adjustable too, if you need bigger letters.

This is my first Kindle Paperwhite and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another when this dies. I own Nook readers and this is as good as those. (Some might say better, but for what I want in an ereader, they are pretty equivalent.) Very easy to use and comfortable to read.

The Kindle Paperwhite combined with some of the subscription services Amazon offers for books makes this an amazing value. Battery last a long time and charges quickly. Brightness is much better than older Kindle models for outside reading. I love it.

I have 90 books in my hand at all times, and will be adding more. I can read anywhere, light or dark and don't even need glasses. It was simple to put 30 books on the kindle in minutes. Wishing I had gotten one years ago. My Dad even wants one! I love my Kindle paperwhite!!!

I love the paperwhite. I can read it in any light without glasses. I always have a variety of books, to suite my reading taste. I got a rocketfish wall charger for a great price at bestbuy and it's so much easier to charge my kindle. I've been reading for almost 10 hours on the same charge. If you love books you have to get one of these! My house would be full of books, but now I can get books I would not otherwise purchase because of physical space limitations. I have over 100 books on my kindle and it takes up less space than 1 book. Many sites offer free or reduced price books. This expands my reading appetite to other areas I would probably not have even considered before. I love my kindle, my only regret is not getting one sooner!!!

I love this kindle!! It fits perfect in my bag for when I am in the go. The lit background is great when my husband wants to watch a movie or show I don't care for and the lights are off. I just wish it would read to me like the kindle keyboard dis.

This is a replacement purchase of an existing Paperwhite. The 300dpi screen is a significant improvement over the previous version. It is bright and easy to read. Navigating the menus, buying books, and even reading your new purchases are simple and intuitive, even for the technology challenged. This has proven so popular, other members of the family have purchased one after seeing it. Battery life is excellent. This device gets used for hours and hours each and every day. I would consider it a must have for those that like to read.

If you want a dedicated device for reading books, the Kindle paperwhite is great. Battery lasts for weeks without a charge, screen is easy on the eyes, links to dictionary.com and wikipedia are so helpful!
