I bought this on sale. It is light and can store your down load books. Reading is easy as well as moving the pages. Easily to store in your backpack, jacket, suitcase or your vehicle.

I like it. I like the size. It’s easy to hold and light weight. The screen is bright enough for use in sunlight or in dim light. Even I can use it with ease.

I never thought I'd give up the actual paper books. We bought a Kindle for hubby and it significantly improved his ability to read more due to adjustable font & lighting. I then got one since we often read the same book and buying a book in paperback and e-version didn't make sense. I love it and have read almost 6 books in the month I've had it - faster than ever and so portable and lightweight.

Had the previous model paper white and enjoyed it. I had several pixels that had failed and were a little aggravating, so I decided to move up. The model is a little thinner and overall shorter, with the same size reading area. I like to take to the beach and pool, so l like the idea of waterproof with 4 grandkids wanting attention around the water. The screen is totally flat so nowhere to catch sand at the beach or crumbs at other times. There is a brief delay booting up compared to the older model, that seems unnecessary, and thus far the only negative I can find. Overall a satisfactory purchase.

this is an excellent e-reader. It has an excellect screen, easy to use controls, lots of fonts and sizes, and of course easy access to millions of books from Amazon. Unlike my many other models of Kindles, this one often reboots, sometimes saying power problem although at 90% power. It's aggravating. The other problem with all Kindles is collections - it's awkward, hard to use, and about useless. Just give us directories and subdirectories or call them folders and subfolders. So I can have a subdirectory "fiction", under it a subdirectory "science fiction" under it a subdirectory "time travel" under it all the authors writing about time travel having a subdirectory of their books. I could hook my kindle up to a computer and setup all my books in a logical easy to find system in no time at all. If you have a couple of dozen books it may be ok, but if you have hundreds or thousands of books collections are useless.

Easy on the eyes. Can read for hours without eyestrain. Great size to fit in hand. Going back a page is a little sluggish. Overall, absolutely love it.

I really like my new Kindle e-reader I do however miss colors.I feel comfortable with knowing that it is waterproof. it's very convenient to take with me when I go on trips or commute to work. This Kindle Paperwhite is perfect for those who want to read more books without buying physical copies of everything! It is smaller than normal paperback books, but I love the size because it can fit in purses and bags easily! It is made of pretty durable material, but I read reviews that said the screen can scratch and mess up the LED backlights, so I decided to put the Amazon leather case on it. The dictionary feature even works without WiFi! Plus, I’m able to send digital books from my public library to my Kindle Paperwhite for free! Definitely worth the buy for lovers of reading!

This was a birthday gift for my gf. She loves this thing! She has me considering one for myself. It is so easy and convenient. It lost one star because books are the same as a physical copy and she would prefer the physical copies if she is spending the same amount. She currently uses the kindle unlimited subscription and has access to a lot of books but not every book is available in a digital form so she still buys physical copies but this keeps her occupied.

Love reading my books on it but there are definitely some cons to it. It is frustrating how there are consistently ads on it and that BestBuy does not sell the non-ads one. Definitely recommend the 32 gb one as I initially purchased the 8 gb one and after 3 books i was down to only 2 gbs.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife and she loves it! What else can I say?!? I've read a couple of books on it myself and do like that it is lightweight and portable. Backlight works well too. If I read more, I'd consider one for myself but, for now, we share.

This E-Reader is so easy to set up. It is compact and light. Comfortable to hold and read with no matter if you are inside or outside. The back lighting makes it very easy to read from if your outside in the sunlight or on very bright days. I was reading a book from it immediately after opening. Looking forward to many hours reading enjoyment.

Bought a Kindle for my wife last year prior to vacation and kept borrowing it to read on the beach. So I bought myself one as well and it makes reading easy anywhere I travel. Long battery life is a plus while the non-glare screen is easy on the eyes. I haven't tested it's waterproof ability but I trust it works.
