My wife and I have 6 kindles between the two of us. My only complaint is they keep making newer/better ones. Since we use them so much we keep seeing things we want in the newer releases. The waterproof paperwhite is perfect for my wife since we have had to use a plastic sleeve to use the old one in the tub. It was easy to get the new one set up and going. Haven't tested the waterproof part yet but she is looking forward to it.

After much back and forth trying to decide between the Paper White and the Oasis, I decide on the PaperWhite. But after one week I took it back and paid the extra amount for the Oasis. The reason is there is not much room on the side to hold the device without your thumb touching the screen. Then with each page you have to lift your thumb and press the screen. That got annoying after awhile. It feels like you don't have much grip and you are having to gently hold on while also lifting your thumb to turn pages. The Oasis with the page turn buttons are much easier for me and I don't have to think to turn a page. (lifting your thumb sounds like nothing but the device is so small it takes some effort to accomplish and not drop the device.). Also I really enjoy the warm white screen the Oasis has. I'd say if you just want to try an eReader or give as a Gift then get the Paper White, but if you want to read every day for 30min or an hour get the Oasis.

Amazing battery life. Only downside is the lag. It’s not as quick as an iPad or phone and you’ll notice it. I love the size of it though.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my Aunt. She is a big book worm and likes to read alot of romance and murder mystery novels. When she goes out of town or to simply a doctors appointment she has something small and simple to keep with her at all times to dive into a good book. She loves it and highly recommends it. She was a little concerned about the smaller size but you can change the font size and everything to make it easy on any readers eyes.

I really like having the extra gb's to download books and the longer battery life.
