Super happy with it. My 90 year old mother is an avid reader but has macular degeneration. She can’t read large print books anymore but we can adjust the kindle font large enough for her to read. Brought a lot of joy to a well deserving woman. The only negative is that it is not user friendly for her yet. She has an iPhone and is a pro.

Great E-reader - For the price of a few books - why not have access to hundreds of thousands of them ? As an avid reader - I adopted e-paper when it first came to market years ago. The ability to adjust font size (and type) has been instrumental in not having to wear reading glasses to avoid eyestrain for my middle-aged eyes. Or in short - I hate reading with glasses on as I don't have to wear them 24-7. Bigger font + better contrast and lighting = problem solved ! Performance - I loaded a few thousand public domain .mobi files on at once to check indexing speed. It's faster then my 2 generation old kindle. 32GB storage - is a bit excessive for me unless you read a lot of PDF or other large format files like audiobooks. Weight - Very, Very light - It weighs less than most paperback books even after adding a case. Battery - I used this for three weeks after the initial charge before charging again. "as advertised". I read a lot - daily - sometimes for a few hours at a time with the backlight on. Overall - No complaints - Except for the closed ecosystem. I've debated purchasing a Boox, Onyx etc.... but I can live with amazon's ecosystem based purely on price. You can load as many of your own books on as long as they are in .mobi format and placed in the "documents" folder.

Bought this as a thank you gift. Perfect for reading by the pool as its waterproof. Was a Black Friday deal so the price was great. The individual that I gave this to is really enjoying it, they use to read only "real" books but love reading books on the Kindle once they got use to not having to turn a page physically.

Purchased this for my wife, she was always trying to read, holding a book open and sitting with a cat on her lap. Now with the kindle paperwhite she cab read with one hand and still share time with the cat. the paperwhite works great and using the local library we are saving money by borrowing the books instead of buying the hardcover or paperbacks. Paperwhite is easy to use and works great!

Got this as an upgrade to my 2015 Paperwhite. It's good. The additional features are nice to have such as water proof and bluetooth. Although, to be honest, I don't have use for them. Maybe the waterproof feature if I am to bring the Kindle near water. Not really gonna happen a lot. The reason why I did 4 stars instead of 5 is because the e-reader wakes up so much slower than my older Paperwhite. It's weird. I got it at a really good price so I am very happy with it.

This is an excellent, light, low-profile E-reader. Easy to download e-books. Superb visual display. Imminently portable. Solid, reliable piece of hardware. I got a better price at BestBuy when compared with Amazon. Ordered it and picked it up on the same day. Enjoy!

Waterproof makes me much more comfortable around the pool. 32 GB holds all of my books.
