Super bright as worked perfect laying on beach in Maui in pure sun. Stopped using heavy iPad to read and could t be happier - and easier to sleep after reading. Love it! Only minor drawback is the power button being on the bottom right corner. Occasionally turn it off with my pinky. Kindle, please put the power button on the top next time

It is fun to be reading in bed without having any lights on.
