I purchased this for myself and my spouse, we both absolutely enjoy reading our kindle. It is light weight and very easy on the eyes. I can easily read in bed while my spouse is asleep without disturbing them with the bright screen. The battery last for weeks and has a lot of space for 100’s of books, my favorite purchase of the year.

Great for reading on the go. It is the perfect size, has just the right features to make reading easy and fairly easy to navigate. There is a little bit of a learning curve that goes with Kindle devices vs. others but it does not take long to adjust. The latency for page turning, book opening is also a pleasant surprise as it is hardly noticeable.

This is one of those items I thought I didn't need until I used one. It's incredible. Reads just like a book, amazing battery life, extremely useful backlight and dark mode options. Weighs 1/3 as much as my most reent book. And given how much I travel and backpack, I should probably have purchased one years ago.

Have had mine for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. I didnt think I would like a screen versus a book but this feels nice is lightweight and less bulky than my iPad which I occasionally used for kindle but this is much smaller and easier to use

This new Kindle is much easier to read on than my old Gen 3. The back light is perfect and somehow doesn’t consume much power. I charged it 3-4 weeks ago and it’s still going. The standard features for the platform are great and can be seen on May other reviews. For me, with an older Kindle, this upgrade was well worth the money.

I was having a lot of eye strain from reading on my phone so i bought this Kindle. It relieved the eye strain . Plus i can see the screen even in bright sunlight. And because it is waterproof i can floatvin my pool and read. Love it

I have previously owned only one E reader, the Kindle Voyage. I loved everything about the Voyage and was disappointed that Amazon never replaced it with a newer model. The battery has been failing. But I held off purchasing a Paperwhite and did not like the Oasis particularly its price and form factor. However after reading about this product I thought it might finally a worthy replacement for the Kindle Voyage. For me it is. It is only slightly bigger in size. It has the sharp 300 dpi text of the Voyage. It is waterproof. The backlighting is excellent. The operating system is vastly improved over the older Kindles. I doubled the available space to download books. Although it has no physical controls for page turning, I do not see that as a problem. Overall very happy with this unit, and glad I waited so long to upgrade.

Great Kindle I bought for my son. Its very light weight & slender so he can fit it into his bag easily. Its easy on the eyes, not too bright, so reading is not strenuous. Definitely a good purchase for the money for sure.

Amazon has nearly made the perfect e-reader in the 2022 Kindle Paperwhite with the adjustable warm light including the dark mode feature. What's good about this device is that despite the larger screen, the device can still fit in a pants or jacket pocketand light enough to hold without the weariness that comes with holding a device for a prolonged period of time. Slight con for some consumers is that this version is is only 8GB and does not have the wireless charging feature that the specialized Paperwhite has. Regardless, Amazon has done yet another excellent update to its Paperwhite line and has finally has lived up to weeks of battery life.

I love the black-and-white design of my kindle. It's exactly what I need for reading. It's surface is smooth. The books are easy to read. The device is lightweight and can fit into most of my bags. Great product!

Kindles are always great but this has been my favorite so far. It holds battery forever, is super lightweight, and easy to use. E-ink screens are great as well. Definitely worth the purchase

Those extra centimeters were needed in the measurements. The addition of the warm tone was necessary for an experience closer to the actual paper of a book. It's not as fast as I'd like but it's not unbearably slow either, the speed between this and the previous version is noticeable. For those of us who like to read all the time and want to be practical, it is the ideal tool. I wish Amazon would improve the OS update process.

Easy to use, battery charge lasts what feels like forever. Tried using the kindle phone app and my eyes would get fatigued. The soft white looks like paper and doesnt tire my eyes out.

I wanted to get back into reading and this has been my way of getting into again. Kindle unlimited if you read several books a month is great to have with this device. It is small and extremely portable. I find it easier to carry this around instead of a book of any size. The warm light on this generation is great. I can turn the lights off and read a little before going to bed easily. I would recommend getting a cover for the instant sleep awake when you close or open the cover. 16gb storage would probably have been better long term, but 8gb was a good place for me to start to see if was going to use this enough. The software takes about 1.5gb of the storage. I have several books downloaded at the moment and have plenty of space. This would not be the case if I was going to download my audible books, but I haven’t and don’t plan on using it for that. I use my phone for my audiobooks. Your mileage may vary, but I love this device so far. I’m glad I got this and don’t go overboard with the Oasis. This size is perfect.

I love this Kindle. It's my first Kindle ever. I am new to this and have not been able to put this down. It's light weight and so convenient to throw in your bag. Doesn't take up any space.

I recommend every reader get a Kindle! I do not have to keep up with bookshelves of books anymore, and when I travel I just take my Kindle instead of heavy books. It is easy to read in direct sunlight, the dark, and everywhere in between. With heavy reading a charge lasts about a week or a little more, and I don't have issues with eye strain. I even use the app Libby on my phone to borrow eBooks from public libraries. Would recommend!

The kindle paper white is perfect for indoor or outdoor reading. The sun is no problem. It fits perfect in your hands and it is easy to maneuver. Even if you do not know how to use a computer you can use the kindle paper white. If you do not have time to go to the library and always on the go-this is kindles are perfect. I actually purchased one for my daughter n law too, she fell in love with it. It is compact fits right in your purse. Take it anywhere you go.

Best Kindle for the price. Screen is amazing better life is long and the waterproof feature is great for the occasional shower read. All and all best kindle.

Best all around reading device out there. Great in the sun, great in the dark, long battery life and waterproof. Beats reading on a phone or ipad hands down.
