The Kindle is great for reading! It is very easy to download books and so portable. It is very lightweight. I love that it eliminates the need to carry several paperbacks when I travel. I also like that I can read it without disturbing my spouse at night.

I bought this for my wife. Her previous Paperwhite finally gave up after 4+ years. It has a few different upgrades that took some getting used to for her but she loves it. At bedtime, on the plane, or on the beach, this reader is easy on the eyes.

Got it at a great price. Definitely an improvement over my original Kindle. It’s smaller and compact. Holds more books. The ability to see the screen in bright sunlight makes it great anywhere. Just have to get used to the new setup.

Bought this as a gift to my brother in law, who is a captain of a sport fishing boat in the Caribbean. The waterproof feature is what put me over the edge, he's a responsible guy who takes good care of his stuff, but if the kraken appears one evening as he's relaxing on deck reading Moby Dick, he won't need to worry about getting the Kindle a little wet. He reports that he's surprised how light this unit is, but then, he hasn't filled it up with books yet. With the increased memory of this model, it's gonna hold a lot, so who knows.

I started reading during quarantine and finished one book. My daughter convinced to get the Kindle and so glad I did. I can increase the font and read outside and the sun does not cause a reflection on the screen. So convent to carry around and easy to get additional books.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. Don’t be swayed by the size. It is waterproof and can be read both in daylight and complete dark, and it is very lightweight. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys reading.

Excellent device for avid readers. Easier on the eyes than non-reading-dedicated electronic devices. Less distractions can also help read more productively. Great battery life, water proof, and very light and easy to travel with.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas, she love's to read and with amazon prime I thought this would be perfect, and so far it is. She love's it. The charge last long and the size is great, it fits easily into her handbag, the back light is perfect for night reading, what more can I say, Great Device.

I bought two of these. One for my daughter and one for myself. We are both really happy with them. It’s nice to be able to read at night with the lighted screen. It’s a great size to stick in your purse, holds tons of books and the battery life lasts for days.

I never thought that I would enjoy having an e-reader when I have an iPad that I can read on, but about 2 weeks ago I got a wild hair and bought one. I absolutely love it. There are very few issues I have with it. The big one is having to go deep into the settings to get to the invert option for a black screen/white text. I personally feel like that should be an option in the same settings area as the brightness control. Another thing is that it could be made slightly more intuitive in the sense that things like brightness control should be faster to get to. I know it seems like I’m ragging on my kindle, but I’ve read more books in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 2 months on my iPad. Mostly because it’s so incredibly lightweight and so much easier on the eyes while reading. I don’t ever seem to want to put it down. Bottom line: If you’re on the fence and think a tablet will do instead, I recommend taking the plunge and getting it.

This is my second Kindle. I like this one so much better than my first one. It is just for reading books and I love the size much smaller. It keeps a charge for a lot longer and the paperwhite allows me to be able to read outside perfectly which my other one did not. Completely satisfied!!!

I have resisted buying a Kindle because I love the feel of a book in my hands, however I am converted and love my new Kindle. I bought it because I would not be able to go to the library to borrow books during the pandemic. I love how I can read in bed without having a light on and it is very lightweight as well. I still like the feel of a book, but I know I will get plenty of use out of my Kindle. It will be great on a trip to not have to pack several books and will be much lighter to travel with. I am so glad I decided to buy a Kindle. It is easy to use and it was a great purchase.

Random musings about this device: Feels light in the hands Water resistance rating unnecessary but nice to have, makes it feel tougher and rugged to know it can withstand water Experimental browser not completely useless but I was hoping for something closer to what my phone can do Haven’t played around with all the tricks it can do in an E-book but if the YouTube videos about its features are accurate than it should make this be a fun little gadget to making reading “fun”. Backlighting is excellent, wide range of lighting ability for any condition. Better on the eyes in pitch black darkness than a phone. Battery life is not as great as perhaps touted. Don’t see it lasting for months nor even weeks. Maybe a week or two tops. No big deal coming a person who charges their phone religiously several times a day.

Great reader. If you want a digital experience closer to a real book than an Internet tablet (Fire, Samsung, iPad, etc.) can give you ... this is a great option. Intimate size, light weight, great for reading at night.

My only Kindle before this one was a 1st generation. Broke a long time ago and did not care to replace. Got this one, amazing illuminated screen, incredible battery life and, on top of that, waterproof. Got myself reading again and I'm so happy with this investment. Love it.

My wife hates me, but she loves the life I help provide for her. Including this Paper White reader that I got her for her birthday. I’m not sure what fantasyland stories she reads on it that make me seem inferior to her, but whatever they are, they look good on the screen and the unit itself seems to feel pretty good in my hand when I move it from her side of the bed, to sleep alone. The soft white light illuminates her face, just like the way I used to be able to do when she cared. Overall I’d recommend this product. Especially if your marriage has lost its luster, and you or your wife hide inside phony fantasy books about perfect relationships and families.

I purchased this kindle the day it released. I have had it for over three months now and I just charged it for the third time. I average about a half hour of reading a day. This is a great e-reader. I especially like the waterproofness and the flush screen. Keeps dirt and dust from collecting in the bezel. A great step up

I bought this kindle for my daughter for Christmas and she is very pleased with it. The kindle is easy to hold, change fonts, has built in back light so can be read in dark conditions, plus is it water resistant. It is a great e-reader!

Works great. I really like how easy it is to read and it doesn’t hurt my eyes if I don’t want to wear my glasses. Less eye strain is a good thing. I can’t remember the last time I had to recharge the battery too.

Very nice and lightweight. Has great lighting for those who like to read at night. Easy to use. Has great selection of books. The charge lasts me almost all week. Overall, happy with my first kindle purchase.
