Finally replaced a gen 1 Kindle and love the features on the paperwhite. The built in back light is easy on the eyes and the battery life is amazing.

I was pretty reluctant on moving from hardcover books to the electronic format. But I am glad I took that leap of faith. The low-light reading really is a blessing, when you want to do some bed time reading. Kindle books are relatively cheaper, and plus the amount of physical clutter that is minimized, helps staying more organized. And the best part is that it reduces a lot of weight while a travel. This purchase was inspired by my earlier one, and this is a gift to a dear friend.

I found the Kindle easier to read than my iPad and like the smaller overall size. I found it a bit challenging to download documents and was hoping to find a lot more free content. Have yet to see what I can get from the local library to load on to it.

Bought original Kindle for my wife when first came out. This new one is backlit so it can be read in darker rooms. Being waterproof is great for by the pool.

This is a great reader! Easy to set up and use - closest reader I have seen to a real book. Easy to change fonts and print size makes it easy for all ages.

I bought this device to upgrade from a 2nd edition Paperwhite. This new version runs much faster, and the interface is mostly the same. All my books transferred over once I set up my account, so no problems there. If this is your first Kindle, I recommend getting the kindle unlimited on Amazon. There are a ton of free books, and you can 'borrow' up to 10 at a time. Screen is great for reading in any condition, and adjusting the font size or brightness is easy to do. I highly recommend this device!

Replaced a 7th Gen with this one. Nice that the screen is flush now and the unit is even lighter. Water resistance is an added bonus. Still love my Kindle!
