Great e-reader!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first e-reader ever (unless you count my iPad) and I’ve been super happy with it. Electronic paper is cool! Particularly because it’s easy on the battery and clearly readable without any nonsense in bright sunlight. Opting for the more expensive Kindle (as in, without ads) and with the auto-adjusting backlight was a good move (I hate ads). I’ve never been annoyed by the backlight’s brightness level, nor its color temperature. And it can shift to less white light automatically or depending on your schedule, which is nice. Using the Kindle store has been an okay experience. The screen on electronic paper devices tends to take a second to refresh, so it can feel clunky navigating the store if you’re used to doing it on your phone or a computer. That said, I’ve been able to find all the books I’ve wanted to read on there and purchasing/downloading is a snap. Great capacity on this model, too, so I don’t expect to ever have to remove books I’ve previously read from the library. I wanted something lighter than my iPad and more “beach/sun friendly” and this has not disappointed once. It feels good (and light) in hand with an ever so slightly textured plastic back. It’ll show oily fingerprints very well, but it feels good to hold on to if you decide to forgo a case. The screen front doesn’t show fingerprint smudges much, thankfully, and has been a pleasure to read. I’m far more inclined to pick up my Kindle and just start reading than if it was me on my iPad, etc. And with the battery sipping e-ink, I rarely have to charge it. If you’re in the market for one, this model’s worth considering.

Incredible battery.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First Kindle I've owned and purchased second as a gift. Gift replaced very old Kindle--big benefits: screen size, screen light and adjustability, battery life--87% after 3 weeks of use and not turning off, IPX 8! 32 G is huge amount of space but I always say more is better. Don't use wireless charging but do like it's usb-c. Much easier reading books with Kindle than iPad 12.9. Could be improved by having handle and maybe a stand. Purchased a case with a handle per recommendation from other Kindle readers but it is light enough without the handle. The case does protect the screen. Handle gives fingers a rest.

Probably The Best Device For Readers!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely worth every penny! I started using the kindle app on my iPhone and iPad. That was working great and all but it was draining battery fast on both of them. Decided to pick up a kindle and was debating between this one and the Oasis. I’m happy that I got this one. Pros: 1. Battery life is phenomenal! Especially if you have the device in airplane mode. 2. Lightweight and portable. 3. Screen has tons of options in brightness and warmth. 4. The 32GB is a huge plus if you listen to audiobooks. 5. Syncing pages is quick and easy. Cons: 1. Typing on it can be quite slow. If you like to annotate, it could take a bit to get used to if you’re coming from a tablet. I’ll usually just highlight and then write notes on my tablet or phone. 2. Screen glare is not too bad but it is quite noticeable in some lighting conditions. Overall, I definitely recommend this product.

Probably the best Paperwhite so far.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best Kindle for just reading - less distracting than a Kindle Fire (which I also own), and lighter to hold. Nicely backlit, smooth page turns, plenty of memory for lots of books, responsive touch screen, fast Wi-Fi connectivity for syncing with other devices. The screen is clear and very readable. The auto-brightness feature is very nice. The screen size is slightly larger than earlier Paperwhite devices so a bit more text fits on the screen - it seems more natural than previous Paperwhites, more like a paper back book. It claims to be water resistant but I have not had need to test this. I use it without a cover and it has been rugged for travel. A charge will last a VERY long time, so it's perfect to load up with books for an off-grid vacation. Cordless charging works as expected, and the C port is a welcome upgrade - no more fussing with which way the cord goes in. I've not used the Bluetooth feature for listing to audio books. It's a nice touch but it's far easier to use my phone for this. Downside - They put the power button on the button, and every so often you'll turn off the device unintentionally if it's resting on a table. It IS pricey but I expect this will last for quite awhile - my first paperwhite did.

Just buy it already
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this kindle. It’s the perfect size and weight. I mostly read my library books on it and it’s fantastic. The charge holds for more than a week and the display is so easy to use. With technology I find myself frustrated when things aren’t easy to use or figure out, but this thing is easy to use and figure out. I highly recommend it.

Better than I expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching a few kindles, the larger storage and auto adjusting bright was the winner. The device is lightweight and easy to read. Battery life, haven’t needed to charge is since the first charge the day we bought it. So yeah, pretty good. Now it says is does come with 3 months of the kindle prime or whatever it’s called, but if you just login with you Amazon account, you get the 3 months free anyways. So win win…win.

My favorite Kindle
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Kindle Voyage, a gen 1 Kindle Oasis, and now this 11th gen Paperwhite. Out of the three I’m liking this one the best. True that much of the improvements to this device came to the Oasis gen 2, but the asymmetric back of the oasis never really impressed me, the aluminum back is slick, and it just didn’t wow me for the $250+ price. This Paperwhite took all of the best features that came to the Oasis gen 2 and added wireless charging, a USB C port, and a screen size that is almost as large, and is less than $200. I’m sold. It’s a great reader! Fits well in the hand, has a great light, has the blue light feature for eye strain relief. It’s really my sweet spot. Highly recommended!

The perfect reading device.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is simply amazing. Perfect size, perfect light weight, perfect specs (wireless charging, very long life battery, fast charging). Most importantly, I read a lot more than before I got my kindle. I tried reading on my phone, on tablets, on laptops and always went back to reading actual books. After getting this Kindle I can't see myself reading any other way. Worth every penny.

Loving My Kindle!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 14 year old Kindle that I always loved, which finally reached its end of life, and replaced it with this. Boy, how technology has improved! I love this thing and even with a case is super light and comfortable to handle. The screen and built in light is great, and it is a joy to read on it. And the huge amount of storage is fantastic. I got a great deal on it from Best Buy and am happy I made the update!

I love it.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the longest time, I was adamant about only owning physical books. But the Kindle is surprisingly lightweight and super easy on my wrists. It is very comfortable to read in any lighting condition (and it really does kind of look like paper!) Not only does this device actually make me want to read more, but it helps me live a more decluttered lifestyle too. I can’t believe I waited so long to purchase one. It’s worth it, trust me.

Perfect gift
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a gift for my wife who enjoys reading when we travel. The Kindle is much lighter and takes up a lot less space than the three of four books she used to pack in her suitcase. Plus the annual subscription is cheaper than buying physical copies. She can read without issue in full sunlight on a beach in Aruba or in a dark room at night before bed without hurting her eyes. The battery literally last for months without a charge. This was a great gift that is very easy set up and use out of the box I would highly recommend it to others!

Great for reading, in and outdoors.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is amazing. I can read this thing in bed and not wake my husband with the bright lights like a phone, or tablet. I love that even in the bright outdoors, there is no glare, and it looks as if I’m reading off of paper. It holds a great charge, and is the perfect size.

my first kindle
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never wanted to get an electronic reader. I am someone that LOVES having an actual book in my hand. I received this as a gift and begrudgingly read a book on it. And then another, and then another…and now I have a kindle unlimited subscription and I can’t stop. Send help. SO easy to use, my eyes don’t have any fatigue from reading a screen, my neck doesn’t hurt from being bent in awkward positions trying to read. My hands/wrists don’t ache! It’s incredible and the best worst idea ever because I have zero respect for the next day’s plans.

Adamant about paper pages
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay. You got me. I came to the dark side- I’m a big lover of paper, physically seeing the amount I have left of the book, and the smell of the pages. However- this is much easier to tote around, you can load up an entire series so you don’t have to wait to start the next one, and I love that it shows you the percent of the book that you’ve read. Also, it’s much easier to read in bed because you don’t have to hold the pages open. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. Easy to navigate the settings and change between books. You can highlight and book mark. It’s was well worth it.
