Nice Device but in a Walled Garden

It has good note-taking capability and ease of use, but the notes are stuck in the Amazon ecosystem, and there is no ability to sync to other cloud providers like Google Docs or OneDrive. Annotations on Kindle books are pretty great though, but again, only viewable on the device.

Closest feel to paper and pencil I’ve used so far. 4 star rating is for it being locked up with proprietary system and doesn’t allow you to use any type of custom template easily.

Device is a bit big for traveling, recommend Kindle Paperwhite for travel and better reading at the bed, beach etc.

However, this product has gone above and beyond! I love that I can scribe and look up words that I'm not familiar with. I also, like the size and color of this tablet!

The only issue ive really had is with the pen. Ive gone through three of them in a 90 day period. After a while they just stop writing

If the pen is no longer writing, I recommend checking to make sure the pen tip is not damaged. If the pen tip is damaged or worn, it may not make proper contact with the screen. If the tip does appear worn or damaged, I recommend swapping the stylus pen tip using one of the five replacement tips and the tip replacement tool included with your Kindle Scribe. If these steps do not solve your issue, press and hold the Kindle power button to access the restart menu and restart the device.
