However, it is still the best device if yo are looking for a dual use reader and writer. If you only want to take notes, research the Remarkable.

She loves it. She likes to be able to use the pen to write notes. The glare free.screen is helpful, also.

And it was like 300 dollars so we returned it to get the samsung tablet which was a way better deal and does way more!

The scribe part works just OK. It does a reader great but the added cost for the scribe is not worth the extra. I also did not like I could not add applications. My existing iPad works better for me.
