Great new Kindle. Easy to read and write in sunlight. I use it for work while in the field with customers notating info, instead of old-school notebook or clipboard. I use it to read books while at the beach or at home. Make sure to get the Kindle Scribe cover while you’re at it. It protects the Kindle and holds the pen nicely without losing it.
Single charge lasts very long. I just wish the interface was a little easier to navigate, but I’m getting used to it.

My kindle paperwhite started dying a week before black friday. My husband of course was shopping and told me to get the Scribe as my Christmas present. It is one of the nest choices ever. Of course i miss how compact the paperwhite is but the Scribe is huge and it feels like im reading an actual book. Not to mention the notes or the agenda i can use or calendar!!! I love it!!!

The screen size and resolution is some of the best I've seen on E-reader. The pen that comes with the kindle is a little weird to get used to, the button is easily pressable when you hold it a certain way which can feel a little annoying at first but its easy to get used to after some time. The writing feature for notes is easily one of the best parts about this kindle as it feels like writing on actual paper. Easily one of my favorite kindles ever.

I really needed to stop taking notes on paper as my notes kept getting lost before they could be filed. This puts all of my notes in one place in an easy to find way. It really needs a day planner (built-in) that could sink with Google calendar but that might just be a pipe dream. Black Friday pricing is really great compared to other similar products

I really enjoy using the kindle scribe. It still has a few glitches and some desired missing features. I like being able to upload pdfs and write on them, make notes in my kindle books, and create hand written notebooks. Overall, a great product and look forward to future releases that are more tried and true. For instance, the reading of books (not audibles) skips the first sentence when it moves to the next page. You can't add pages to the beginning or middle of notebooks or move text around. Those are some features I would like to see added/improved.

Slightly on the heavier side to carry around like a kindle paper white or oasis but works great if you read and edit pdf documents frequently. Also great for note taking. The warm lighting works great for extended periods of usage and also for using in low light conditions.

My wife used to have the large, lined post-it notepads that would get left (lost) all over the house, as well as a scheduler that was always getting misplaced. We bought this, downloaded a PDF calendar to it and her response was, “Thank you! I never have to write anything down on a piece of paper again!” We are both very happy with this purchase. ;)

If I had a kid going to college, I would get them this for taking notes over a laptop. As well it would allow them to read most of their textbooks on it.
For a reader, this is great as well. Easy on the eyes, responsive, robustly built.

Let me just say first and foremost, I love having a large size Kindle again. It has been way too long, and I think Amazon really needed to address the larger screen market. With that said, the pencil works great. It is responsive, feels natural to hold and use, and makes a very satisfying sound when Moving across the screen. OK, now for the bad things. Amazon really needs to consider adding more software features. I feel like there is so much missed the opportunity here, particularly when comparing this to other tablet, notetaking devices. unless I carry this everywhere, having the notes on here alone is useless to me. Sure, I can send them to myself. But who wants to send a note to themselves via email in a static image or with text conversion that they cannot edit and resume editing on the jindle again. I feel like 10 or 15 years ago that methodology may have worked. But in today’s world, we expect things to be better connected. I also find it weird that there are only certain types of content that you can mark up, regular kindle books, not being one of them. overall, I like the device enough that I am going to keep it. But it is hard to not feel conflicted when it is so obvious that it is missing some things that seem critical. Luckily, I think most of this can be addressed in software. But there is one hardware thing that also drives me crazy. With an entire lineup of Kindle devices that are almost all waterproof in some way, this has no water resistance that I am aware of. that is such a strange oversight to me.

magnificent device, got it at a discount, too. from a hardware standpoint, its really, really good. but the software is where it gets kinda dicey. its a closed ecosystem. you have to use amazon account and send emails to an Amazon account to even send pdfs to the thing. If it was an open system it would be perfect. everyone wants to be apple these days.

I bought this device primarily to read manga and i gotta say that it is fantastic for that task! The images are sharp and detailed and the convenience cant be beat. I also have been using it for reading novels. The large screen has been amazing for that as well and a nice upgrade from the Kindle Oasis.
