I think normal usage and wear and tear carrying it around is going to take a toll. I will be surprised if it lasts a year. Despite my lack of faith in its durability, it is an innovative cover with magnetic attachment to the Kindle. The flap provides good coverage and doubles as a kickstand. The penholder easily takes and holds the pencil.

Interestingly it is also written in French but the French writing leaves out the word "leather" because it would be false advertising outside of the USA. Outside of that, it is a perfectly good cover and those are hard to find. I recommend it if you have no problem spending 20% of the cost of your $339 Kindle Scribe on a cover.

The plant-based leather is made from 76% renewable bio-materials (non-GMO corn, and viscose fiber from Forest Stewardship Council-certified sources) and 24% polyurethane. The plant-based leather crafted in Italy is soft and supple like leather, with a microfiber interior to help protect your screen from scratches. Hope this helps and have a great day!
