I like this little gadget. Most of the lights in my bedroom are Phillips hue so I can turn them off with my Amazon Echo except for one and sometimes while laying down and I'm comfortable under the covers, I don't feel like getting up and turning the light off. This allows me not to do that. I set this up and named the plug a certain name and now when I'm under the covers about to fall asleep I can tell Alexa to turn off that device and its light out. I really didn't know what to make of this or how it worked and I'm very pleased with it.

This smart plug works as it says it will. Alexa can turn on and off a plug in pull chain light with no problem. Easy to use!

I exchanged the horrible wemo smart plug for the amazon plug. Worth every penny. So easy to setup and in 2018 tech should be easy to install. I spent three hours trying to connect wemo smart plug and got nowhere except a raised blood pressure!

It seems like these smart plugs are all over, but I have hard time seeing the practicality since most of my lights are controlled by light switches. However, for a bedside light or other table lamps, they're perfect. We hooked up one for each of our end tables lamps in our living room and are loving it. I'll probably buy one more. After that, I need to start purchasing smart switches. I just wish those prices would come down. I was able to get this for $5 around Black Friday so this was good.

I received this Amazon smart plug as a gift when I purchased a 14" HP laptop on-line at Best Buy. I never thought about purchasing this type of product in the past. After a few days of it lying around I finally decided to use it. The setup was simple, plugged a living room lamp into it. I had to download the Alexa app on my cell phone to complete the setup. After playing around with the manual and Alexa voice command to activate the lamp I was pretty impressed. The only drawback is that it doesn't work with Google Assistant, wish it did. That said overall is a good product that I've learned to like a lot.

The easiest way to make any device with a physical on/off switch smart. I've used it with a lamp and a fan. Sadly it wouldn't work for your television or other devices. This only works with Alexa, got it in a good sale as a bundle with the Amazon Echo Dot.

Invaluable accessory to the Amazon Echo! They work great for lights, TV, etc. Highly recommended! Get as many as you want! So convenient!

These are great smart plugs if you are invested in the Amazon Alexa ecosystem. They're great for devices you'd like to turn on and off with your voice or with some automation. For example, I use this around the holidays to automatically turn my Christmas tree lights on and off as well as lamps and other things. I highly recommend it!

I'm not sure if the branded Amazon smart plug is better than any other smart plug, and I only buy this when it is on sale, but it was, so I got an extra. I like it in my bedroom - can read in bed and just have Alexa turn off my light when I am done. The plug has disconnected occasionally, especially when we have a power outage. Reconnecting has to be through the phone app, but the process is relatively easy.
