Can’t wait until they make them smaller. Easy to connect to wifi, easy to pair to Alexa ecosystem. Voice command is terrific. Had my outside Christmas lights, hallway decorations, and tree lights plugged into three of these. When saying, “Alexa, Merry Christmas,” all the lights turn on. During the rest of the year, these control various lights around the house. Very cool.

I love this plug! It allows me to control my TV via voice. And it connects directly through my Amazon Alexa. Turn on my TV off and on is a breeze. The only con I can see with this is if I turn my TV off at night by mistake with my remote, the next morning when I wake up I have to turn the TV back on with the remote before Alexa will control my TV again.

I was looking for a smart plug to turn on my Christmas tree with Alexa without having to get another hub. I ended buying four plugs. They work very well and are easy to integrate in with Alexa. Just had to scan the barcode wait about a minute and it was up and running. Once they are integrated and names you wan work them individually or as part of a routine. These plugs are strictly for on and off and do not have dimmer capability.

For the past few years we've only used WeMo smart plugs by Belkin. They've worked ok and rules are easy to set up BUT, like any other smart plug, WeMo requires users to manage smart plugs using the WeMo app. The WeMo smart plugs were relatively easy to set up with Alexa, however, the moment there was a power outage, reboot of router, etc. they have been a royal pain to get back online. I received my new Amazon Smart Plug today and the setup was very easy and took minimal time. This was so much easier dealing with one single app (Alexa) that I will now be replacing all of my WeMo devices. I would have given it 5 stars but using the scheduling option (days and times) in Alexa required too many steps. Users should ideally be able to add start times, stop times and days when creating a schedule versus creating separate schedules for start and stop times. Perhaps a lower price would be good. Not just because I want a less expensive product but more importantly, many people have already invested a lot of money with their current smart plugs. For example, over the past years I've added (7) WeMo plugs at an average cost of $30 each and $210 for all (7). Personally, I think it would be a wise decision for Amazon to drop their price so that they can win over customers like me at a faster rate.

Amazon has a winner with this plug. The simplicity of installation is the winning factor. No special app needed (Like Kasa or Jinvoo). Just go to the Amazon Alexa app and follow instructions. Quick and easy and works the first time. This is my second Amazon Smart Plug and haven't had any disconnect or failure to work problem. Only drawback is the unit is a little pricey. I think it is worth it.

I have owned my share of Smart Plugs over the years. They’ve all started out great, then for some reason, they just stopped working (or were simply no longer supported. Right, Best Buy…) They were also a pain to set up. The Amazon Smart Plug is a game changer! No muss, no fuss setup. Plug it in, open your Alexa app, and before you know it, you’re controlling devices with your voice. Now, I would say, it couldn’t be any easier, but it actually can be. If you order this Smart Plug directly from Amazon, it comes already linked to your account. So, you just plug it in, and your Echo device will take care of the setup on its own (sorry Best Buy). NOW, it can’t be any easier… For some reason, Amazon limited the amount of Smart Plugs I am able to buy, but no worries, because at the time of my purchase, Best Buy had them for the same price, without the silly quantity restrictions. So I buy them here instead (sorry Amazon). With this device, I practically control every light in my house. I can control them by individual rooms (turn on my office light”), or by entire locations (“turn on the upstairs lights”). After being disappointed by several worthless smart plugs, Amazon finally got it right.

These smart plugs are very handy to convert any regular outlet in your home to a smart - app and/or voice controlled power outlet. You can use them for lamps, space heaters, fans etc. Very useful for hard to reach outlets, such as behind bookshelves.

I’m a big fan of these. I think the full retail price is too much, but these go on sale all the time. Relaxed all my WeMo switches with these. Just bought 3 to add to the 3 I already have. Hooked them up with the Christmas tree, Christmas village, and decorations in the basement. Have them all set on a timer or can turn on and off by voice.

These plugs pair so effortlessly with all of my Alexa devices and turn my old lamps into smart devices. The pairing process is straightforward and can be completed in less than 2 minutes within the Alexa smartphone app. These were so good that I purchased one for each of the bedrooms within my home. I will definitely be purchasing more!

These are great and much more affordable than my Wemo’s which I own 3 of. Setup was super simple as expected and done using the Alexa app on my smartphone. I’ve since purchased 2 additional ones because the setup, value, and convenience of having these around the house to turn on/off electronics and lamps throughout my house :)

If you use the Alexa system, this plug is incredibly easy to set up. No extra app to install on your phone, just use your Alexa app. More expensive than other plugs, but much easier to use and trouble shoot. Another benefit is that you can use 2 plugs in the same 2-outlet wall socket. Other plugs are too large, and you can't plug in 2 different smart plugs in the same outlet.

I got this Amazon smart plug when I purchased an Echo Dot. This plug is easy to set up if you have the Alexa app or an Echo device. I have several TP-Link smart plugs that I have grouped with this Amazon plug and I have no issues with either brand. This plug only works with Alexa and not Google Assistant so make sure to get this plug if you plan to use it with Alexa.

I was unsure how this would work, as it is my first smart piece for my home. I use it with the Alexa app, and it works very well. Set up was very easy! You just open the app and tell Alexa to turn on the plug (my name for it). Same way turns it off. It can be set up with an Alexa enabled speaker as well. I use it on a plug for a high backlit lighting. Love it!

I bought this on a whim when Amazon had a deal with Best Buy when purchased through Alexa. I wasn’t sure how good it was but just bought it since it was so cheap. I’m glad I bought this Smart Plug because it works great! I have not had any problems with connections and it’s is perfectly compatible with all my Echo devices.

I bought this Smart Plug because it was on sale and it hasn't disappointed yet. I don't need to connect it to a 3rd party app before connecting it to the Alexa app so that saves me a lot of headaches and time. Will buy more if they come out with a 2 plug design or at a cheaper price point.

Simple smart plug that I’ve had zero problems with. I bought it to turn the Christmas tree on and off and have used it for various other things around the house. I like using Amazon smart plugs because I’m an Amazon user and have the Alexa app, and don’t have to install another app to use it.

Nothing works like the true Amazon plug versus third-party plugs. Seamless install, no extra app software, automatically recognized by Alexa devices, auto reconnects after power outages. I only use Amazon plugs for critical applications and third-party for easy-access non-critical uses.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to and turns on off anything that is plugged into it. It is a great value and I do say it works just like Alexa just a smaller form. I do think that it needs better sound recognition if you talk Fast. Amazon did a great job with the product and I no issues.
