I've setup many different smart plugs over the years, and have found them all to be quite finnicky. If you already have an Alexa device setup, this is a very simple process, and I've found the connection to be reliable. With that said, these are fully locked to the Alexa platform--you cannot use them with HomeKit or Google Home (though that is to be expected for an Alexa branded plug, I suppose)

Easy to set up, reliable, seems to hold wifi connection more consistently than belkin wemo. Amazon plug is also very fast to respond to turn on or off. Downside would be their plugs are kinda big and clunky. As a piece of hardware it's good but it only works with alexa, so if you have google and alexa in your home you've always got to be mindful to invoke alexa to turn its items on/off.

Great price for smart plug to control with alexa native app. No need to worry when buying this as amazon isn't going to go bankrupt like other smart plug when they lose support in less than a year. 15 Amps

Got the Smart Plug to work in conjunction with my Amazon Echo Dot to turn on all the lights. How was I able to function before without it? No longer have to come home to a dark house. Still going great 2 years later.

The plug works great and is so easy to link to your Alexa devices. I just wish it was a tad less bulky. I have 4 of them in my home so far. Due to the price I have bought them a little at a time but I don’t regret them at all.

Purchased one to see how well it worked and it Works great! Now I need to purchase more.. Works great with the Alexa echo. If you don’t have Alexa it’s ok you can also use an app to be able to remotely turn on/off whatever u plug into the smart plug.

This smart plug works great! It is easy to set up on Alexa (just plugged it in and it showed up on my iPhone Alexa App and activated it). Couldn't be easier. Once activated, I added it to my Alexa "goodnight" Routine, so when we go to bed, telling Alexa "goodnight" turns off the hallway light, turns off all of our bedroom lights, sets the A/C to 73 degrees, and reduces the Echo Dot volume level to 2 in the bedroom. Upon waking, telling Alexa "good morning" turns on the bedroom lights, sets the A/C to 75 degrees, raises the Echo Dot volume to 4, and gives me the weather and news for the day. LOVE these smart plugs (and our Nest thermostat).

Great product love all the features of it. Makes life really easy. answers all of my questions and give results instantaneously. I can't live with out it . I which I had bought one sooner. Works with all of my smart devices that are compatible

I bought this Amazon smart plug to use on my Christmas tree this year. It was great to be able to control the lights on the tree remotely. Setting up the device in my Alexa app was a bit confusing, but overall a good purchase.

Plug it in and Alexa sees and configures it easily, Not a two step process as with other non Amazon branded Smart devices. Had it plugged in for the Christmas Tree lights and Son in law turned them on with his voice :-).

Works well with Alexa of course. Purchased two of them and hooked them up to the Christmas tree and some other light up Christmas decorations. No more reaching down to unplug stuff, just a simple command to turn them on or off! Very convenient!

Already had 2 of these and was so happy with the functionality that when they went on sale I bought 2 more. Used 2 last year for my outdoor Christmas light and had no problems with them.

My amazon smart plug works great! I’m very impressed ! I love it when I go out before dark, and if I forgot to turn my lamp on, all I have to do is go to the Alexa app ,and ask Alexa to turn my lamp on. No more walking in to a dark place !

I'm not going to complain about the plug itself. BUT, a word of caution to someone buying one of these. I bought this to power on my coffee maker. However, the ON button on my coffee maker does not come back on when the power is shut off. You have to manually push the button again. This, I have learned, is a security feature on many home and kitchen products. So, the plug worked great with the Alexa app and with my Echo devices. BUT, I would just caution someone from buying one of these if the product they want to turn has a ON/OFF button that has to be turned on manually like my Cuisinart coffee maker. Just to turn on a light, this is great. But, for other stuff... not so much.

I love this plug! I have my light plugged into it. Makes it so easy to turn the light off/on. I have it hooked up to my echo, and can either turn it on/off with the app, or by speaking to alexa. Makes it real nice when your first walking into the room, or laying down, and don't want to get up. The only thing, is that when the internet goes out, your plug won't work.

I love this with my Alexa devices, I can turn on and off devices from my bed and not have to get up. Plus it’s nice for lamps that are not in reach or inconvenient to get to. I plan on buying more as I need them.

I had always been interested in plugs like these, but I wasn't fond of the price and wasn't sure if it would be more of a gimmicky convenience. When Best Buy ran a sale through the Amazon Alexa, I couldn't resist the deal. And, these plugs are terrific! Set up took less than 2 minutes (and part of that was because I took a moment to read the instructions). At the time of purchase, we plugged our Christmas tree lights into the outlet. What a delight to tell Alexa to turn on (or off) the lights--from any of our 3 Alexas. Needless-to-say, we have purchased more of these plugs for other outlets in our home that are used often. These outlets can also be programmed to behave like a timer for lamps and other things. We are very pleased and happy!

This is awesome. I was worried about setting it up, but it is super easy with the app and I hooked up my electric fireplace. No I can turn it on before I get out of bed and also make sure my house is warm before I come home. Loving it!

Got this on sale and it was definitely worth it. Works great with our home full of Echos. I use them on lamps for the most part but they can be used for whatever you would like. Obviously the smart bulbs are more convenient because you can dim them but if you don't need dimming these are perfect. I also used it for our Christmas lights and tree which was awesome.

Never thought about getting a smart plug until I came across a great deal. Im glad I bought a couple. They work great for turning lamps on and off from anither room. Works great with the Alexa app and Alexa echo.
