Its a really fast cpu vs the 1800x . i must of had a broken 1800x it never went past 3.6 ghz no matter what. Only con i have is it isnt reading the temps right. i am running a x370 Msi carbon . im sure that will be fixed with some bios updates.. bios says its running less than 30c. windows its peaking 50c while the 1800x would maybe get 48c full load gaming. . im using a hydro h105 cooler so if its running hot ill be amazed. my fps did increase alot vs the 1800x. this may not be the case with all 1800x cpus. i just seemed to have a dud of a 1800x or i probably would of not bothered getting this. just do yourself a favor get this one over the 1800x its a faster cpu and same or similar price

I bought this just for hahas. Built an all AMD just to see what the fuzz was all about. Along with this I have 2 Intel 8700K builds. Honestly I have yet to find somewhere in my day to day use where this can out perform them. The stability I get with the Intel at 5 G just can't be matched by this Ryzen 7 2700x. You may get different results. If you use your PC for just regular all day use than the price is to performance value is not bad. For me I needed a little more. Or the 2700 might be a better value than even this.

Great performance at half the cost of Intel. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I could not achieve a decent overclock. Although, there is no need to since I game at 1440p and this handles at minimum 75fps. Usually I am above 90-100fps depending on the game. Always at ultra or highest settings in game.

Overall, install was simple, included heat sink fan is quiet and really colorful. Have stayed with base settings for now, but will be testing over clocking on MSI motherboard. Had to install discreet video card (no default vga) to get started until formal video card arrived. Look forward to benchmarking it.

Overall this is a great processor but the heatsink and fan it comes with is way to noisy for my open air case. They look really nice but I had to go back to my Noctua

Great price for 8 core 16 thread processor. Needed more cores for productivity then my old i7 could give and it fits the bill well.
