    A really great processor

This processor really packs a punch! It's quite the upgrade from my old ryzen 5 1500x. This is a pretty high grade processor, make sure to do your research before purchasing. No problems with it so far, I just built my new computer a couple of days ago and it's doing a great job!

Upgraded from a Ryzen 7 2700 to this Ryzen 7 5800x. I’ve noticed a huge difference in stability and power. I am a sound engineer and this has been chewing through multiple recorded tracks with countless VST tracks active. I am extremely happy with this upgrade.

I upgraded from my ryzen 7 3700x to the 5800x and am very happy about my decision. It is a little bit more expensive then the intel processors out there but worth it if you use your computer for work and gaming. It worked right away with no bios adjustments or updates on my asus tuf x570 board and I’ve been able to overclock it without any issues

This thing is a workhorse. I’m in love with it. Gaming or video editing, this thing gets it done. Replaced a Ryzen 5 3600, and never looked back. Best Buy even price matched Amazon’s undercut, so I saved about 40$

I'm happy that I was able to get this at retail price a few weeks ago from Best Buy. I still haven't been able to score a graphics card yet but hopefully someday soon. This is a great CPU, very noticeable speed increase over the ryzen 3600XT that I had prior. It runs slightly warmer but not much than the 3600xt. Just make sure you have a good CPU Cooler and adequate air flow in your case and you'll be good to go. Very good benchmark scores with just a slight overclock, worth $100 savings over the 5900x especially if you don't need the 12 cores which most people don't. I highly recommend!

    AMD IS KING

I upgraded from my i7 5820k (6C,12T). After dealing with [Intel Security] Flaw after flaw after flaw, and all the windows 10 patches that came along with them. My CPU suffered majorly in performance. It was a Haswell generation CPU which got hit the worst out of all the generations. Gaming FPS (frames per second) were noticeably worse as each patch rolled around. My average FPS was lowering significantly, my minimums were suffering and fps in general was extremely inconsistent now, and i was experiencing frame drops across all the games i played(due to the minimum fps suffering so much) Now i have upgraded to an amazing cpu, my computer has never been so fast, and my fps is very consistent now with and i have pushed the max fps ceiling higher than i have ever experienced. My 1070ti is performing way better than it ever did on my intel cpu. I highly recommend this cpu. Much faster than intel in single and multicore clocks. MUCH MUCH LOWER TDP THAN INTEL. This CPU literally sips watts when idle and doesnt go higher than the 105W TDP while gaming. i think the highest i noticed it so far was around 90W. 7nm is better than 14nm+++++++++. Ryzen 5000 series is king for gaming and productivity workloads now. (all my testing and usage has been using asus b550-f gaming wifi motherboard, BIOS version 1212, and using 2x16(32gb) 3200 C14 B Die memory, and Asus ROG Strix 1070ti)

    Incredible Performance

    |
    Posted .

Coming from a Ryzen 5 2600X, this is a surprisingly large upgrade. Performance is noticeably better and more consistent in CPU-bound things like emulation and some games. Obviously, this chip completely destroys synthetic benchmarks. Just know that these chips run very hot without some tweaking in the BIOS. Before tweaking, my Cryorig R1 cooler was barely able to keep this chip under control (60s when idle, 80s under any load). With the appropriate tweaks, the chip idles in the 40s and only reaches the mid-60s under most loads, with certain heavy loads bringing it into the low 70s.

Really fast processor. Being able to utilize gen4 pcei allows for super fast write speeds for my m.2 drives. Games and all load SUPER quick. I've paired this with a rtx3090 for a great 160hz gaming experience. I couldn't be more happy with this setup.

    Love me some Ryzen!

Ryzen processors. Top of their game right now. This thing performs like you'd expect a Ryzen CPU to perform. The 5800X runs hot tho. I got a 120mm AIO and dropped about 10°C. But with PBO, in Ryzen master this thing runs a stuck and stable 4.8GHz easy. Most games I play never push it up to 80°C. Except for Call Of Duty Warzone/MW/Cold War. Saw a slight fps increase with my 2070 Super. But I believe once I can add a 30 series GPU I'll see significant uplift in FPS. I had a 3600X and didn't really need to upgrade but I was able to save quite a bit of money had I waited until later. But with better performance and the generational improvements, I don't think I'll need another CPU for quite a while.

Beast of a CPU, blew my 3700x out of the water.

Lucky to score a rtx 3080 on launch day, and built a PC around it. I originally had a 3700x and I expected no issues but I found it bottlenecking when I was playing at 1440P 240hz. I have read the mixed reviews on this processor and its price but if your looking for that extra oomphhh the CPU is stellar and blows the 3700x out of the water in COD Warzone, which is what I was aiming for. Some games were only using 800-85% of my gpu but now its always 95%. If your on the edge and not sure if you should pull the trigger this one beast of an 8-core processor at what is most likely AMD's end of for this chipset, which gives it a chance to stand up for a while.

My first computer build! Bought this for my computer, which I have used for mining. It's been a learning experience as I knew very little about computers, other than how to turn them on on go to the internet and Office. The Best Buy staff recommended this as a top CPU for my RX5700 XT gpu. So far, after more than a month running non-stop (other than a 4-day break) the AMD Ryzen 7 has been rock solid! I've learned a lot since then, first and foremost that I should have just went with a mining rig motherboard, etc. But, when I do go that route I will probably take this out of my computer and use it for a rig.

Outstanding processor. I originally wanted to get a 9 5900-x, and I had some concern this could bottleneck my GPU (RTX 3090). According to Benchmarks, bottlenecks on tests are 1-2% IF present, and I haven’t noticed them. Warzone at max settings with 140-160 FPS in DLSS. Haven’t tried streaming, so don’t know how multitasking will hold up, but otherwise, I don’t think I could ask for better performance out of the PC I put together with this product.

I have found this process to be well worth the money running very quickly with all the games I play it's very good with its processing speeds and has clocks for a lot of multitasking. Go the CPU was created to be easy to overclock I have never done so as I find the performance in the non-overclocked mode exceeds any expectations I had originally.

Would love to review this, but I havent installed it yet. I recieved it in mid July holding out with the hopes of getting a 5900X. Unfotunatley the 5900X became available just as my return period expired. Wish there was a way to return and exchange it for the 5900X. Still un-opened in the box with tags attached.

I wanted a 5900X but got beat out by bots, the Best Buy servers, and AMD's lack of preparation. I bought the 5800X and couldn't be happier. I was originally running the 3900X (also purchased at Bestbuy) and the performance uplift over the 3900X is significant. I plopped it in Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme and finally finished my black and copper hard line build. Thank you AMD and Bestbuy!
