Best AM4 option in my opinion

What a beast. I bought this for gaming and audio production, and it works really well. As far as AM4 goes (and you don’t want to go to AM5), totally worth the value and worth the upgrade (I came from 5600x). Can run a little hot, but that’s what you have a water cooler for

    The Zen 3 Flagship

AMD Ryzen 5000 series is one for the record books! AMD introduced the Zen 3 Ryzen processors online with the sole intention to show more performance at less wattage. The increase from the previous Ryzen 3000 series is up to 22% faster. Meaning if you are coming from a Ryzen 2000 series (Zen+) then you are in for a major performance champion at over 40% performance increase. That increase is not free. It comes in the form of heat. It does not come with a cooler, so be sure to get you a BEEFY air cooler, or a nice all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler solution and you will be off to the races!

Very fast and way better frames during flight simulator 2020 on ultra (paired with a 3080ti). Only issue is that the computer turns off randomly but I suspect that it may be unrelated.

Really good CPU, Just recreantly purchased this during cyber Monday. Upgraded from a 3700x. And i can tell the difference immediately. This CPU does gaming, Auto Cad, And 3-D rendering really well. It also handles my 7800xt extremally well as well. All in all get this CPU while it is 50% off!!!!!

Absolutely cranks! This thing runs everything on max settings with ease. Im an Intel person and honestly AMD has the most bang for your buck at the moment. Do it to it, you wony be disappointed.

well i have an old motherboard and this is the second to the highest chip. I am allowed to put in it. I was worried that I would need to max out my ram, or do something else to make sure that it ran properly, but from the moment I put it in it has run perfectly fine. I am giving it good value because I got this on sale. I still think most of these are overpriced and stay too high priced for too long. But this one was definitely decent on sale.

If you have an older AM4 CPU and don’t wanna upgrade your motherboard and RAM, 5900x is a solid option. Gaming frame rates are more consistent/stable with a noticeable boost since I’ve been previously CPU bottlenecked with a 3900x. It’s a steal if you can catch it at a discount! Remember to check if you need to update your bios before installing it!

Great for medium spec'd builds and great paired with the RTX 4070. Used this CPU on my AM4 build. I would not buy this card if you intend on upgrading to anything past a 4070 but if you're looking for a budget AM4 build, this is definitely the CPU for you!

Bought this to go with my new build with a RTX 3080TI and it did not disappoint. This CPU has a crazy amount of cores and is great for both gaming and heavier processing.

Went from a 3700 to this and can instantly tell the difference when it comes to gaming/multitasking. Would recommend getting a AIO or upgraded Fan cooler. The wraith cooler would have it wround 80c while gaming. After the msi 240r aio it now around 64c. Maybe even getting a 320 would of been the better route. After some googling seems a average temps are 70-80c while running. For 300$ well worth it if you're on ryzen 3 or older

Upgraded from a Ryzen 3700x. I wasn't sure what to expect, but in games like Warzone my FPS jumped up to around 190-200 FPS from like 140-150. This is paired with a 3080, so I expect I was bottlenecking before. Set-up was a little trickier than I was expecting. Make sure to update your BIOS before installing, unlike I did. When I first installed this as well pretty much every game would stutter, and the solution for me was a fresh windows install. Overall though it seems like performance improvement justified the cost and hassle , especially with the prices finally coming down. I feel I've more than future proofed my PC with this upgrade.

Bought this as an upgrade from Ryzen 5 5600x to Ryzen 9 5900x and what a difference! The price was even better, got it at $234! The only caution is you do need a very good cooling system to pair with it. I bought a Corsair Hydro Series H60 120mm Liquid Cpu Cooler W/ Fan and that was the cherry on top!

Solid CPU pretty much runs anything you throw at it, i'm always a consistent triple digit fps on cpu bound games with a 5080.
