Woo woo! Glad I went with this. I was going to get the 5800X3D because I primarily use this system for gaming, but ended up with this. With the curve optimizer, I'm getting clock speeds of 5150GHz consistently when the application needs it. I have a -20 magnitude adjustment on all cores and its been stable on all my applications. Where is Intel?? I can't hear em. And nor can you hear my fans as this CPU is running cool with only 2 140mm fans in a mini-itx case. Good job AMD.

Runs like a champ. Mine boosts above advertised boost clock (4.85Ghz) with no OC. Runs 10-20C cooler than my i7 which has a 40W lower TDP, so IHS seems high quality. Major props to Best Buy for rolling these out in such a way that real people can actually buy them.

I jumped from 3700x anddddd was contemplating about this or the "better value" 5800x. I am super glad that I went with the 5900x! If you can get it, grab it right away! You won't regret it.

Ive been meaning to swap from my ryzen 7 3700x i bought 4 years ago and this was the same price i paid for that 4 years ago! Great performance and is capable lf doing better than advertised, overclocking on this cpu is amazing! I even bought a 4070 the same day i bought this and they are amazinf when paired together.

Amazing for the price. Great deal and it’s genuinely a great card. So far I’ve had limited to no bottlenecking on my 4080.

I ordered my cpu through bestbuy.com and my order was ready within 45 minutes. So far the 5900x has ran amazing in my updated rig. Would defintely recommend for any enthusiast as well as purchasing through best buy due to their competitive pricing.

I love this CPU, if you can get it do so. And now that I have the chip, I'd like to formally answer my own question...Yes this chip will handle MS paint @4k settings. =P

Great processor. If you cool it properly, it won’t go over 70-75, at least in my case. If you’re buying just for gaming, consider one of the X3D processors instead.

Coming from a 3700x just so I can future proof my PC this CPU is the real deal. I personally wanted a 5800x but for slighty more money boy do you get even more performance. With some tuning I am able to hit 4.95 mhz regularly and usually average around 4.8. Its an incredible CPU that definitely ended the AM4 era with a bang.
