For the top of the line offering from Asus, you can tell this product was manufactured during a chip shortage, just doesn't feel like quality silicon unfortunately

Well, i cant really give it a good or bad rating. I installed it on an x470 msi gaming plus MB, with the current beta bios.(per msi data sheet). Would work fine for basic task, but could not load a game or even cinebench with out the pc crashing. I tried to dial back the power, ram, etc. I could do nothing for it to not crash under load. I think it may have been an issue either with the MB, Radeon RX580 or a combination of the 2. Have 32gb of ram in the system.

First step in my new PC build. I’m an AMD fanboy, so it was a natural choice.

Easy install, worked great. Price was relatively normal and luckily they had a few more in stock

Fantastic processor, however, the one I purchased online and picked up instore at a Best Buy a fair distance away was obviously a previously returned item. The seal was broken on the box, which I queried when picking up (was told I could bring it back if not working, so that's good at least). So, I treked back home, installed the processor (which took a while as I had to uninstall the AIO that was currently installed etc. and popped this 5950X in... ...Aaaand of course it failed to POST. So I returned it for a refund. A complete waste of my afternoon.

I really like this product. So useful. I recommend it.

This CPU is super fast and runs nice snd cool with a standard AIO 240.

So far so good i can do everything i want with this 16 core

Original purchase 09/21/21 returned to topeka store to exchange defective. They tried multiple times to charge me more. Wouldn't recommend store based on their attitude and having to pay extra for an exchange of a defective cpu.

Make sure you have good enough cooling and a good enough motherboard for this cpu, I wasted time and money not upgrading my board and cpu cooler.

Ive been building a new pc recently and honestly its kinda overkill even when editing videos for my channel its a very nice proccessor

Best Buy sent me what appeared to be a returned item, box was resealed with a different chip in it. I returned the item and now best buy is putting the blame on me for their previous mistake. This is the last time I will be purchasing anything from the best buy online store. From now on if it's not picked up in person, and they check the items before I leave, I am not risking it. Very disappointed with the way Best Buy has handled this situation.

Dont buy from best buy as they are unwilling to price match from Microcenter and many other stores! The storemanager Bestbuy Polaris store Zip 43082 said they dont match microcenter because they sell refurbished. ! And as usual yes. They arr geek squad

I brought this and I did not get the version that it shown on the box. Once I opened it, was a completely different version. Very disappointed. And they don’t want to refund. Very poor service on this one.

At 1440p i am still seeing impressive performance paired with the 7900XT. The newer cpus are better at 1080p, but the minute you go 1440p or 4k the 5950x matches the best CPU on the market today since the bottleneck becomes the gpu. The only noticeable thing is the %1 lows compared to the new 3d variation. I think i can get 2 or 3 more years out of it before i have to upgrade.

This cpu is godlike! When i was building my pc i chose this over intel because of the warranty and amd support staff! The cpu has outlived 2 graphics cards now and is still pushing!

Amazing would recommend, can play any game I want with this paired with a 4070 ti
