Monstrous cpu! Everything is much faster (from 3600 to 5950x)! It generates enormous amounts of heat so get a liquid cooler with it. Noctua NH-D15 air cooler has to run both fans on high to keep it under 70c

16 CORES for lots of power and very fast. Love it. Can't believe how fast the shipping was. Delivery was supposed to be 8 days, arrived in 4. Thanks Best Buy, I couldn't be happier

This processor outperforms anything from Intel. and the price cant be beat. I have always been an AMD fan.

Handles extremely well for a work from home computer with 3 displays. But the higher price was worth it since I do a lot of CPU intensive operations like compiling code, encrypting/decrypting files, and VMs.

This cpu is nice! A little toasty so I paired it with a 280 aio. In retrospect, this much power isn’t really needed. I would prefer a higher clock over the core count. Is got an amazing deal and I don’t regret it! For those who need to know, you don’t need more than 8-12 cores nowadays. That’s even with production and gaming and streaming. I bare use the full cpu and I go full ham on this, not benchmarks but actual work.

Wow. Talk about fast. This processor is the best I've ever owned. Amazing speed and performance. I am really liking these new AMD CPU's. Can't wait to see what they come out with next.

I wanted to upgrade a high end computer I built in March 2020 with a Ryzen 9 3950x that I loved. I built it with being able to upgrade it in mind. Upgrading the cpu to the ryzen 9 5950x along with a new gpu resulted in an amazing increase in performance.the 5950x is fast, and stable. It stays cool even when playing the most demanding games using a liquid cooling solution.

Runs more efficient than my previous 3900X, a great performance boost to unlock potential of my 3080Ti and 64GB DDR4 RAM. Can't go wrong with getting top tier 5000 series as upgrading to 7000 series with DDR5 is still pretty expensive.. should be good to go with this sweetspot combo for a few years yet, don't have to have power & heat hog machine setup from a Threadripper to get great 16-core/32-thread performance!

It's really, really, fast! I edit up to 8K video that would seriously challenge my old computer. I kept my video card and added in the 5950X. It muscles through even the most demanding video clips. I'm really happy that I went with the 5950X.

Beast of a Processor great for gaming and multi tasking including streaming, runs a bit hotter then the Ryzen 5800x so make sure you keep it cool

Keep an eye on these as the next generation pushes the price down. A real bang for your buck compared to Intel. Like most of the reviews have stated, it runs really hot. If you don't already have one, just get a liquid cooling system to install with it and save yourself some time. My 120x240 (2 fan) corsair liquid cooling keeps it idle @ 39c and mid to high 70s c at load.

I'm a content creator; therefore, I focus mainly on speed, reliability, and energy consumption. This CPU is fast; it reaches speeds of 4.6 on all its air-cooled cores with no throttling (enhancing its reliability). Furthermore, the speed is achieved without a ridiculous amount of a power post, thus making it responsible. You may have read to control this chip is a challenge, but the reality is it's simple; it's just managed differently than the other manufacturers.

Probably the best CPU of 2020. Not sure why, but it seems to be more stable than the 3950X. Although the 3900X is better value, if you need the best performance and are ok with the higher price, this is definitely the one to get.

Lightning fast processing does everything you want and more runs a bit on the hot side but not too bad

Great cpu for all your needs whether it be for streaming or schooling. I really like this cpu for when it comes to gaming and having another tab open for spotify or youtube to listen to in the background. The only thing with this cpu is it does run pretty hot so i would recommend to use an aio cooler to prevent overheating temps

Had to update the bios on the board. Runs 37-45 degrees with water cooler. Runs high end games smoothly.

I ordered this because I needed to upgrade my current cpu to something a little more powerful compared to my ryzen 5 and this is just what I needed! The ryzen 9 was by far the best choice I made! Plus I just love this company and the products they offer!

When I bought this it was the best cpu you could buy the Ryzen 9 7950X3D came out after but I don’t think it’s much of a difference in performance so this is definitely the BEST bang for buck especially if you want your pc to be future proof with this cpu you will never need a upgrade
